Does anybody have a break down on the 60 pin harness. I need to find the start and end for the yellow wire on pin 1..pcm power, but am having no luck finding it, and my schematics are very vague..also how can I replace a fusible link..this is what I figure the problem is with my car at this time...

A fusable link is just a smaller piece of wire. Like a REAL CHEAP FUSE!!! THANK YOU FORD!!! That small piece of wire acts like a fuse, it burns out before the rest of the wiring will. Simply replace it with a short piece of the same size/gage wire. I'll have to look for the source of your wire, but the computer gets its power from a relay inside the ICM/CCRM box above the radiator. Check all the splices, on older cars the splices corrode on the inside of those little black blobs.

Edit: found the book. 20 gage fuse link, blue in color, then 2 yellow wires go to connector c124, then to splice s275. from there wires split and go to pin 1 of computer, and pin 8 of relay box. I think the fuse link is attached to the starter solenoid. Been a while since I looked at an 89.

The yellow wire, circuit #37 on the '89, goes from a HOT all the time supply, via a fuse link "M" (Blue, 20 ga) to ECA pin 1, also to ICM pin 8 via splice S275 (Engine Control harness, near T/O to ICM). The HOT circuit should be connected either to or near the battery connection at the starter relay.

Fuse links may cause the insulation to discolor or melt when they blow. They are replaced by splicing in the replacement using either secure crimps or by soldering. Protect the repaired connection from moisture.

Measure pin 1 at the ECA and pin 8 of the ICM. Both should be always hot if the fuse link is okay.

12 gage?? better check on that, 12 ga will carry a lot of current before it blows.

One page of the EVTM says, 12 ga, the other says 20 ga. Both say "blue", which the master key defines as 20 ga. I'll go with that and edit original post.

The ECA is the EEC-IV computer . That's the 60-pin coinnection. Pin one is most likely going to be one of the pins in a corner. The ICM is the relay module on the upper radiator support.

Fixed all the gremlins..got a 11 for a code..pass...finally got everything spinning..except the timing belt..found a post, on how to check..cams not going around..beyond my tools and facilities, time to find a shop.
Thanks for everyones help, it still saved me a ton by finding all the other little glitches, plus mounts.
