OK guys I traded my explorer even over for a 94 Mtx that is pretty clean. Jus needs some minor bugs worked out.
Problem 1.) Car misses when you give it more than normal gas. However after the secondaries open, and I give it full throttle it quits "missing", but it feels ball less sometimes. Other times it just chews the tires. Problems more than not are when the car is warmed up. This leads me to believe it is either the DIS box on the pass. side of the intake, or the actual coil pack. Let me know what you think? Could be as simple as a set of plugs and wires.

Problem 2.) The A/C worked when I got it. But there was a leak on the high pressure side (I believe. It's the front fitting) so I used a can of the R134A w/ stop leak. It stopped the leak, but now my compressor won't kick on by itself. I took a broom stick and barely touched it and it kicked on and WOULDN'T kick off. The a/c was very cold, just the compressor won't kick on and off by itself.? Any ideas?

Thanks alot guys!

What are the condition of the plugs/wires? Oil in the plug wells? You need to rule out the main ignition components before you can factor in the DIS or coil pack.

You need to adjuster the clutch on your AC compressor.

Adjust it by pulling out a shim? Or what do you mean. Tomorrow I'll pull a couple plugs n see what they look like.

your miss/power issue could be any of the following: mafs, tps, plugs, wires, dis, coil.

I suggest you check for codes first - it doesn't always set a code for that, but if it does it can save you time and money in fixing it.

removing a shim from the a/c clutch should fix that problem.

I went out and started it this morning when the engine was cold. And i didn't like twist it out to high rpms but i did give it 3/4 throttle and NO miss. But as soon as the temp gauge started movin it started missing. I'm leaning towards the DIS but it wouldn't hurt to put a set of plugs and wires on it anyways. And I will check the codes.

Thanks guys!

Based on what you've said, I'd look at plugs and wires before the coil pack or DIS.

Clean the MAF too. Do this first.

hey 93 i agree wih everyone else checkyour ignition coponents and pull codes before you start shooting in the dark.i think you might have a wire issu.you said that when the car started to wam up it did it again .when rubber gets hot it will become soft and the spark will find the shortest distance to a ground .if the wire is compromised it will share the spark and cause your miss.good luck

Cleaning the maf seems to have fixed my issues, I am still doing plugs and wires, they are over due.

How in thEEEEEE **** do you pull the codes for free. Been a long time since i've been in one of these cars. I think it has something to do with jumping two wires with a paper clip and then turn the key on and the CEL will flash a number of times... Please help!
