3rd gear synchro shot?

At any speed 35 and over I cannot downshift into 3rd without horrible grinding. I have to shift into 2nd then back into third if I want to down shift without any grinding. Is this the 3rd gear synchronizer? Would a new set of blocking rings fix that or will I need a whole new synchronizer?

3rd gear

Mine does that too! I thought I had the rare 3rd gear indicator system installed. J/K i have a Bizzy tranny to install to remedy the problem.

Most likely just a blocking ring, but if you continue to grind the gear, which I believe you are avoiding, the synchronizer will get toasted.
