Gain? Not much, don't bother doing it if you aren't really into SHOs that much. If you are really into them and want to get as much power as possible, go for it.

You need the 3.2 with no accessories, then unbolt all accessories from the 3.0 and bolt onto the 3.2. You'll need to cut a chunk out of the front head. You can switch to 3.0 cams for more power, or keep the 3.2 ones for low end torque.

The 3.2 swap is taking the 3.0 block out of the car, take all accessories off it, get your 3.2 block, use the accessories from the 3.0 on it. If your using the heads that came from the 3.2 youll have more low end torque but not as much power. Also the 3.2 front head has a little different bolt setup for the alternator i believe. (drill and tap one bolt hole if im correct.) If you want to use the cams from the 3.0 for more power, I recommend using the heads off the 3.0 (same exact heads) and youll solve both the alternator bolt problem and have your cams with it.

what makes it a 3.2L is the increased bore.
you dont have to drill and tap anything, just swap everything over from the 3.0 onto the new 3.2L. cut a chunk off the front head bolt it up and go. as far as engine swaps go its easy.no extra wiring just nuts and bolts.

These engines are very efficient in stock form. Therefore, They are expensive in the "cost to horsepower" ratio.

Small block V8 headers $100 and gains 25 HP.
SHO V6 headers $600 and gaines 8 HP.

These suckers get expensive quick.

Why won't the Serpentine swap onto a 3.0? Is the engine bay that much different, or did they just move everything around? Reason I'm asking is the P/S belt is scarce around here, and so far mine has eaten 2...

Why do you guys need someone to tell you how to do everything???

Just buy a 3.2 pull out the 3.0 and compare the two side by side!
Cutting the head is easy I did mine with a grinder

Just check the rod bearing before installing as SHOs are always needing maint.
