Good for you mang, You doing all of this by yourself (even with the hiccups) is more then I would ever do. Just got slowly with it and pay more attention to what these guys are saying and you should be good to go.

Do you have BBB's? Or is it a Exhaust Leak?
Look for a Exhaust leak.
Next, Look at your butterflies, When I installed BBB's on Ashley's car, There was a ticking. Removing the vacume line from the front BBB showed it to be the culprit, It just clatters.
If it's neither of those, well I'm sure the others will be able to chime in.

No more tick/tap. Looks like letting it idle fora bit made it go away! and Yes! i have a massive exhaust leakk becasue i have my catless y pipe not sealed 100% to the manifolds and the y pipe not bolted to the midpipe. lol
