i've been having problems starting my 95 mtx 3.0 recently...i thought it was the fuel pump, so i replaced that this afternoon..i immediately started the engine and let it idle for a while...the rpm gauge went crazy between 500 and 1500 rpms until it settled down..i shut it off and tried to restart it to no avail...after work the car still wouldnt start, and i had to keep the key turned for almost 30seconds before it tried to start...i'm thinking it could be my spark plugs, anyone heard of anything like this..please help, any suggestions will be appreciated...art

Could be a cam sensor. Check you ECC codes. Check out the link in my sig on how to do that.

No. The crankshaft position sensor is in the front of the engine down by the crankshaft pully. The cam position senson is on the top of the engine.
