Sure is awfully purdy......

Should've given me the heads up on the order.

Had I been provided with a VIN, I most likely could've gotten you pictures of it rolling down the production line, during various stages of it's assembly.

Oh well.

Either way, I'm sure it's a blast to drive!

Looks good lotusDriver, and I'll look forward to a test drive on one soon when they arrive around here and will see how it compares. The non SRT Jeep GC 5.7 with minor add ons is no slouch either. The dashhawk in my 5.7 GC recorded 0-60 in 5.49 with just a ported TB, and Diablosport CMR tune, all stock intake and exhaust, 22 mpg HWY, running 87 Oct. City mpg sucks though, 12 if I'm nice. Much better DD than an SRT without the harshness, and handles great with Bilsteins and SRT sways.

Same Ecoboost V6 as in the SHO. 365 horse too which the Flex and Lincoln don't have for some reason.

Don't know where you have been getting your info, but both the MKS and MKT EcoBoost are rated at 365 hp.

I am actually debating as to buying an Explorer Sport or a SHO. Have driven both and both are nice. I like the space and practicality of the Sport but it is just a little too big. We have no kids, just 2 dogs(one small one large) so it seems overkill. Since you own both I'll ask you. Is either more fun to drive spiritedly? Obviously I will not be tracking a Sport(1/4 mile maybe) and same for the SHO, but I do like on ramps and such. Is the Sport really that flat around turns?

Thanks for the input!

For what it is, the Sport is a great performer. It is still a tall, relatively heavy SUV. I would buy one for myself, if we didn't already have hers. Since she does, I plan to get a 14 SHO, to replace the 11.

You may wish to consider the Flex instead of the Explorer. I test drove both prior to buying my 2013 Flex Limited Ecoboost. The Flex's handling dynamics are much more car like. It's not as nailed down as my 2014 PP SHO (or my previous car, a 2011 PP SHO, but it's noticeably less ponderous than the Explorer. Packaging and visibility are superior as well.

If you add H & R lowering springs or Megan Coilovers... Handling with the EB Flex is fantastic. ( I have had both H & R's and now have Megan's) Much more leg room in Flex especially with middle row buckets. Six 6 footers fit comfortably in our Flex.

Once I get the H & R's separated from struts... will be selling them.
