Hmmm, so in 2013 a person could get a Limited with EcoBoost? I wonder if that will be the 355HP or the 365HP version? I'm liking what appears to be LED taillights.

@shogun , if your car is still here I can tell u why. Over the past few weeks we have randomly run out of different parts, as they come in were using the parts on the line, but the cars that are missing parts are still waiting for parts that were short on. In the last month, we have went from working 70 hrs a week to 40. They don't even ask us to come in on the weekends cause there are no parts. We are expected to have parts and get back to 70+hrs a week start the week of the 8th.

On non-SHO models, the EcoBoost badge is for the 2.0L 4-cylinder version with 237hp/250ft-lbs. The SHO is still the only one available with the EB V6.

Probably the lesser of the 2 versions but what a boon for non SHO owners. WOW!.
If the now SHO engine is going into the Limited then one must figure that the SHO's will be at least a few more ponies. (and yes I know that someone has figured on no more hp for these future cars but still.......)

I wouldn't doubt that Greg, tho my dealer up here has been told that my SHO is built, complete and waiting for transport since there has been such a backlog of cars waiting for parts from Japan, and now waiting to go.
I can only hope that it's in transit right now and will arrive soon.

BTW I hope you've been doing as much as you can to protect the virtue of my new beautiful baby. It was rumoured that you had turned into some kind of passion monster during your off time down there and was schmoozing up to my ****** ride for fun off-time.
I trust you buddy, -- please treat her nice.:sosad:

OK, thanks for pointing that out.....I missed that on my post scanning yesterday.

Is the version in the Brick, the F150 and the Lincoln not the ecoboost version or is that reserved just for our SHO's, and the others get a slightly different (less powerful) engine.

Just wanted to clarify if you know.

As you can tell I still have a million questions, no car:frown:, and not enough time to search properly. Thanks for your patience.

muchos gracias for the help too....

The ones in the Taurus, Flex, MKS and MKT are pretty much identical, the SHO just gets a slightly more aggressive tune. The F-150's engine is different because it's configured for RWD along with heavier duty components to meet truck durability standards (aka lots of heavy towing) as well as having both variable intake & exhaust timing, where as the other cars above just get variable intake timing iirc.

Cheers, Typhoon.....I'm hoping to free some time (from spring cleaning and renos) soon and have a good read on the car(s) and the engines.

Hey guys so the brand new SHO just released in New York is the 2013 right? So does the 2012 look the same as the 10 and 11 SHO's? Or does it have the old front end and a honeycomb grill? Sorry I'm a bit confused.

If I understand it myself, the '10's and '11's are the same. The '12's will be different tho we've not seen the production grill and won't until about August -- except one might assume that the '13 grill that has made an appearance at various shows might be a carryover from the as yet unannounced '12 production grill.

If that makes any sense. :nut:

I'm sure someone will jump in and put it a little more succinctly.
Be my guest.

Don't feel bad about being confused....so are we! I don't think most of us have any really ideas of what is happening for the 2012's. Maybe Greg or one of the other Ford guys have a better idea of what's happening them most of us.

I think Greg is busy shmoozing my new SHO -- I hope he's gentle with her.

Greg! quit schmoozing and start shipping. I need my baby; I've been anticipating 'having' her for months.:luvstruk:

Haha I'm glad I'm not the only one confused. Maybe if the 2012 is an "in-between" model with the old front end and the honeycomb grill it will be extra desirable. ;)
