Ok, so I have had my 2010 SHO for about 5 months. I bought it as a CPO, and so far very glad that it is certified. The first issue after a week of owning was the speedo issue which I got fixed by the TSB and a coil went bad which was missing horribly. About a month after owning I noticed when cruising on the freeway it almost felt as it dropped out of gear. When it happened I looked at my gear selector in the dash and I noticed none of gear letters were lit up orange. So I took it to the dealer and they said it was caused by a loose connection in a harness that had water in it. So they cleaned the connection and put die electric grease in it also. At that same time they had to replace the PTU due to it leaking. So a week after getting it back it was doing the same thing, dropping out of gear and no lit up letters. I can shift the car to neutral and back to drive and its ok. I brought it back and said I found a TSB that sounds identical. That TSB is 10-21-2, the dealer says that the particular TSB does not include my vehicle. They said they can put the vin in on the computer and it shows all TSBs. And that one is not available for my car. Anybody know of anything else?

Mine did this when I first got it. They replaced the trans range sensor or something and it never did it again. I think it was a TSB though....

That's exactly what I was thinking after reading the TSB! How do I tell the dealer to just replace the trans range sensor. They told me they can't duplicate the issue.

Mine was random and could not be duplicated. It fit the TSB, so they did it. That and I had only bought the car 2 weeks earlier, so I am sure they wanted to make sure I was happy. I would try a different dealer, but they likely can't do the TSB and get paid from Ford for it unless it falls into the TSB date ranges.
If your car is still under warranty, I would play it like that. Tell them the issue, and the symptoms in the TSB describe it exactly and to figure out whats wrong with it. If they won't, ask for the customer service phone number for Ford corporate.

So they have had the car for 2 weeks, I called today and told them the TSB fits exactly to the issue that I was having. They said they made a call into ford engineering but he thinks they will put the trans range selector in and start there. So hopefully I can get it put in and I am sure my issue will be resolved. It's the same dealer I bought the car from in April. It is under the 12k and 12 month CPO warranty because its over the 36k mark.

Well got the call today, they are replacing the trans range selector!!! So hopefully the issue is gone! I just want to drive my car and not worry about something else going wrong next week.
