1993 sho auto tranny problem no overdrive!help me please

hello. I got a 93 auto sho. I replaced the tranny out of another 93 sho. The tranny shifts fine until i am on the highway at 3k rpm at 60 mph. Did the code check. Reset and drove again. Code 568 gear ratio for 4th gear is the problem. Plus the overdrive button does not work on the shift handle? Tranny just does not go into overdrive. Otherwise perfect. code was stored after reset of engine light. even after 6 ignition cycles the check engine light is not on yet.

obd 1 is kinda ********, in obd2 any code (engine/trans/abs) throws a light...obd 1 alot of the mfgrs CEI lights will only kick on if it's an engine related component short/FAILURE...or emissions control component FAILURE. obd 2 will throw a code when a engine component or emissions control component is outta limits, but hasn't failed completely yet. Sounds off hand like you've either got a switch failure, or a solenoid in the tranny has shorted/grounded/failed...
