Hey guys so thing is on my 92 SHO when depressing the clutch to change gears it makes a somewhat wizzing sound. Clutch shifts fine and all. No problems with engagement or the clutch itself. I am wondering does this possibly sound maybe like the clutch isn't fully disengaging? could it possibly be a stretched shift cable?

If it starts just after clutch pedal is on the way down I would vote for throwout bearing if all else is shifting normally. I'd just live with it until it got much worse.

Ah okay. Yeah its just a little wizzing sound. For future reference is there parts available to fix the transmission?

I think some of the synchros may be hard to find. I would get a used unit if mine was broken. I agree with TOB for first guess. If that is correct it is wearing with noticeable noise. You will probably have to dig into it at some point.

Okay then I will begin hunting around for parts. However I don't thing the synchros are bad as I have no trouble shifting gears. The go in like butter.

If you have time and space you might want to open the area and get a look at the tob, pp, and clutch. I mean there used to be a cable tightening mechanism that often jammed up or people didn't use to adjust the engagement with wear. I haven't used one in a long time. My cars were 2nd vehicles with alot less miles than the ones I bought when I was younger and used as daily drivers.
