Hi everyone, I'm finally selling my 1992 SHO. Single owner, clean title, daily driver, ~257K miles. Now listed on Ebay. Located in Westchester County NY.
Photos were taken in late December 2023. Full photo album here:
Package includes:
- a 1992 Ford Taurus SHO
- 4x original wheels + 4x snow tires
- 4x performance wheels + performance tires (on the car)
Pros:
- The car runs beautifully today and has been on the road continuously for years
- Manual transmission
- Sunroof
- Black exterior & interior, interior in great shape
- Brakes upgraded to 1994 brakes
- Cooling fan upgraded to 1994 cooling fan
- Adjustable rear suspension
- Performance wheels and tires
- Auto windows & sunroof (though rear windows no longer work)
- Keypad entry
- Switch to activate cooling fan maximum RPM
- Switch to extend/retract radio antenna
- USB charging ports
- LED headlights and fog lights
- Single caring owner, well maintained
Things that have been replaced in the last few years:
- Alternator
- Mufflers
- Rotors
- Front steering rack
- Spark plugs
- Oil filter, air filter, etc...
- Many other parts have been replaced over the lifetime of the car. The list is a little long for this post.
Cons:
Things that probably need replacement or work:
- small rust spots above rear fenders
- airbag light blinks continuously
- sunroof seal needs replacement
- LED headlights don't pull enough voltage, so the lamp out light is on if the headlights are on
- Blend door (AC or heat) sometimes gets stuck on AC or Heat and won't switch over
- struts probably need replacement
Things that don't work:
- tachometer (works occasionally)
- rear windows
My parents and I have driven this car since it was new. I adore this car, and I hope someone else can care for and enjoy it! It's obviously a ton of fun and a rare sleeper. Please DM me for inquiries.
