So I was looking for a beater to drive to work. A second beater actually, since if you're going to depend on a beater you'd better have two of them; especially with a 3-week-old baby in tow.
After begrudgingly looking at 150k mile camry after camry on Craigslist, I stumbled upon this cream puff only an hour away. I've always been a ford fan, having owned a 99 mustang GT and 97 Cobra (my baby...), so the immediate attraction was there. What's this then? A MANUAL transmission in a Taurus? Surely a typo; they're all automatics right? The intrigue continued enough to go take a look at the thing, cash in hand, the next day. DISC BRAKES ALL AROUND? COIL-OVER SUSPENSION? IN 1992? ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME? I've always considered myself pretty up-to-speed on anything even remotely sporty since 1990 but this thing completely caught me off-guard. Hard not to love an early 90's sedan that looks exactly like the student driver from Coneheads and, oh by the way, was one of the fastest cars you could get in 1992. 77k miles, $3k took it home.
Anyway enough blabbing. Here she is!
EDIT: Fixed license plate # advertisement... Am I getting old already?
