There's not really a direct relation between ET and trap speed. I'd say the car is capable of mid-high14s.Sho Amo said:my trap was 95 and only pulled a 15.5 how much do you think every mph on the trap would net me?
SeanMc said:That's a great 1/8th mile time. My best was a 10.1@73mph. Not to shabby for a heavy ATX with a big guy driver.
drivinhard said:That is good air, and Atco/Englishtown are good fast tracks to run on. Sea level stuff.
If you can crack 9 flat in the 1/8, you'll be in the 13's now. Car has enough power. Traps are right there.
Find you some 16" wheels with 225/50/16 drag radials. That's an effective 3.90 "gear" and you'll be in the 13.xx
Are you lift shifting? Keep it on the wood and with some shorter, stickier tires, you're all set.
actually i do not have the SFC welded in yet and i heard that helps the launch so well see what she runs when i go again in a month or so
aka power shifting.BlackonBlack89 said:I hope to get in the 13's when i finally get the new better Pro-M 80 maf, BBB, and PP runners installed.
BlackonBlack89 said:For 16" wheels and DR option, it is just too much money for right now and well i think it might be able to do it with the some new tires i am getting![]()
BlackonBlack89 said:For the lift shifting question i am not sure. my dad ran the 14.3 run so i am not sure on how he shift. all i know is he launches the car almost perfectly.
Acutally what is lift shifting exaclty?? I am gonna guess not taking your foot of the gasaka power shifting.
thats what i did but i spun. prolly my michelin's fault but o well. That'll do it. Worth an honest 1.5-2 tenths. But you gotta get mean with it and don't care if you break something...
drivinhard said:If you want street tires to do double drag duty, the best hooking street tire I ever ran on the SHO was/is the Yoko ES100.
BlackonBlack89 said:I dont think a stock MTX SHO should run mid 14's.That if it is a freak maybe and on top of that has maintence up to-date. I think high 14 to low 15s is more accurate.

Speedie13 said:Wow. Great thread, lots of good info. Reading this really makes me wanna go run my 93...its got a ypipe on the way and I really think its capable of some good times, if I can get used to running it. (may take a few runs lol)
BlackonBlack your car sounds amazing and I agree it will be capable of alot more with a little fine tuning.![]()
