Took the 89 last night to atco. I am pleased with the times but knowing it is a little demodded I knew it would a little slower in the traps than last spring. Plus it was hotter.

Anyways I ran 4 times with my new pirellis 245/40/18. My first was my best time for some odd reason. I ran 14.7@95 and then 2 15.00@95. and then a 14.8@96.

Then the fun began. The old man came up after work with the hoosier QTP and the TD 16". Installed those and the spring blocks. After waiting for ever to go (gambler guys had a crash) the street cars finally went. I let the old man give it a go on the slicks first since it might have been the last run.

The time was 14.33@96MPH. Yay a hundreth second of improvment:rofl:BUT at 2mph slower than the last year:oogle:. But where the great news is the car pulled a 2.12 60 foot(rare in the SHO world for the new guys). And he bogged a little of the line. Man I wish it was cooler and the car wasn't running so rich. I think with more practice this car will break into the 13.9's and maybe do 1.9 60ft.

anyways I ran once with the slicks and it is amazing. unfortunely I missed second (how the **** do u miss 2nd!!!) But man the car pulls much better. I mean lauching at 4k and it actually sticking is awesome. The only thing is the slicks actully bog the car. I hope the CM stage 1 isn't giving up:evilgrin:

Sticky tires = bog, which IMO means raise the launch RPM, or raise the air in the tires  When the tires slip = more MPH in the big end. Runnin good though, cant wait to see numbers in a couple months :thumb:

Awesome 60ft. Im sure with more practice you could get it down even more. Is your car fully optioned? Never hurts to pull the spare tire and backseat. Takes just a minute or two.

It is except for a sunroof. That stuff is out, next time the front seat is coming out.(-55lbs.) The front and back seat together is nearly 100lbs so that should help it launch better.

Plans next time are: install 80mm MAF, front seat out, and practice more:nut:

Good times man! Those slicks may grab the track better, but I bet it's putting a killin' on your clutch! Something has to give! Nice runs.

My 89 pulled a 14.09@98-99 (i cant remember the exact mph) with a 75 shot & some BFG DragRadials 225/45/17.

Thats really nice time for a N20 3.0 trap is on the low side though (I bet it could hit 13. with a better 60) but I hope to get those times N/A.The tires make the biggest difference. I will never drag with out slicks again....plus the TD 16 weigh next to nothing.
