How long are you supposed to wait in between coats, I think the Dupicolor can says 10 min, but that seems too short? Also, did you use a primer?

Iam wondering why ford considered flat black mirrors and pillars more sporty than matching the body color like on the slo?

Been looking forward to doing this one myself. And for the rubber/plastic junk I would use SEM trim paint or Krylon Fusion, it'll give a more even coat and is less likely to flake. I dyed a torino console using the krylon stuff and it works great, doesn't even need clear. I haven't tested how weatherproof it is yet - doing that this year.

Funny, I don't recall the OP asking for "opinions", much less critiques of his choice of mods.

How's the saying go . . . ?

"If you can't say nothing nice, say nothing at all . . . . "

Flapping your gums and not saying a damn thing!!

Very clean. good job. Not crazy about the 3.2 decal though.

Bah it's all good , The purpose of the post was to show what you can do with a rattle can + mirrors to give the idea to others , AND to check out if people thinks it looks good or not.

Plus I posted pics of the whole car , not the mirrors only. Good opinions (positive or negative) are always constructive.

Yeah post pics. My black trim is dull from years of sitting in the sun and because the original owner decided Maaco was the way to go for a paint job, so everything on the car got painted, including the mirrors and door handles. I think the mirrors got the worst of it. I figured a can of Duplicolor would fix that when I got the rest of the car re-painted.
