So I picked up my 2010 SHO last week. Needless to say I haven't been real impressed with Ford's quality. Yes, the car rides amazing, nice and smooth, very fast for a heavy 4DR, but man, there is a couple things bugging me since I bought it. Anyone have similar issues?

1) Chrome peeling off taillight trim.

2) Today, the cruise control would randomly shut off. Just cruising down the highway and ****, cruise shuts off. Re-enable it, and it is fine for X amount of time, and ****, shuts off again. (Non Adaptive Cruise)

3) Getting off the highway today and some idiot cut me off....had to get on the brakes hard (but not lockup hard), and I hear this horrible grinding noise.

So I guess I head back to the dealer tomorrow and see how many days they will have it to fix everything.

It sounds like you got a car that has several of the problems that have been addressed in various TSB's, I would check the TSB's posted here and print them out and take them along with you to the dealer. Good luck. BTW, I am still waiting for the parts because my car makes the same grinding noise as yours.

Everything you mentioned is covered by a TSD. I've had all 3. There is a servo in transmisson that is replaced for the cruise and other tranny issues. Taillight assemblies also replaced under TSB. Still waiting for brake parts to come in. Hang in there, almost everything on the SHO is new for the model and year.

No pull strap to close the trunk. I read most of the TSB's and will take them to the dealer. Even though it has some issues, I still love the car. Hopefully they will resolve them quickly.

One reason I went with a 2011 was the reported issues above but for the price a 2010 can't be beat and that red is an awesome color! At least Ford will fix the minor issues.

The car is doing fine for a first year model run of a pretty much all new car. The imports are no better. I remember there were many reported issues with the 2003 G35 as I scoped that out before buying the 2004 model. And even then I had some issues with the '04. The weird thing was that the G35 was made in Japan for years prior as a Nissan Skyline.

It goes in tomorrow to the dealer. They are already aware of a couple of the issues (TSB's), so I guess they will address the other problems also.

Was at the dealer today. New tail lights coming, bunch of brake parts, and a trans sensor. They also reprogrammed the blind spot system because the passengers side was lighting up randomly when nothing was beside the car.
