Mine ran 15.1 with the only real mod at the time being putting in a modified Porter air intake, tossing the sax out, and using a K&N panel air filter instead of the stock one. I think getting a lot of cool air to the motor seems to help more than most other mods and can be done so simply with some form of Porterization that it should be the first thing anyone does if they are interested in getting a bit of extra speed. Plus it is really cheap to do. :)

Karen's 99 cut a 15.1 with a tossed sax, removed 3rd cat, resonator, and edelbrock RPM muffs. I'll agree the car does like cold air. Bypass that TB during the summer!!!!

My best to date, was 15.77@87mph. Not the fastest car, but my 60' times were under 2.3. I think it runs out of breath up high.
This was with Flowmaster 40's, no resonator, and a K&N panel filter, in 85-90 degree weather.

"85-90 degree weather"

Bet that was what slowed you up. I am fairly sure that most of the better times come from runs in temps closer to the 60-65 degree F range. Intake temperature seems to make a huge difference.

I don't doubt it. Kikr was there the same night. No one was pulling really good times.

I ran 15.8@88mph, With a K&N panel filter, Sax removed, and rear brakes draggin... Temp was about 70ish. With a .614 light (on a .500 sportsman tree). No I didn't know the rear's were hanging up at the time, and I havn't had it back yet.
