I'm very interested for insulating properties, do we have any real life experience after install? I know on other engines people claim good things, but I haven't seen anything on here. I'm very interested in any info you have. Thank you.

I don't have a "data", just hands on experience. Literally, it was "hands on" after drag racing another SHO buggy. After a few races, we were sitting on the sidelines, watching everybody else burn up 110 octane gas. After about 10-15 minutes, we were ready hit the road back to camp, and remarked how dusty my polished intake was and went to wipe the dust off and lordy was it warm. My buddy said his wasn't because of his gaskets. His was only slightly warm near the mounting bolts, mine you could hardly touch.

After we got back to camp, my intake had cooled down to ambient but as soon as I shut it off it started to draw the heat out of the heads again. I was impressed to say the least and the rest is history.

Another bumppity bump for these phenolic intake spacers in 1/8" for heat insulation purposes, and 1/2" for those that want to flip their intakes 180 degrees to mount in Mustangs, Cobras, Locosts, etc., etc.

Are these made to stock intake port or to gasket port? With gasket matched heads and runners would these be a restriction?

You know, to be quite honest, I don't remember. But as you probably already know, restriction to fluid flow (which includes the fluid of air) is a function of diameter X length. The length of the restriction if any, of these 1/8" spacers is 1/8". So the restriction would be in the .001% or less.

The 1/2" spacers would be in the .002% range. Over oiling your K&N (if anybody even uses those any more) would cause more restriction than this.
