0-60 time

Hey everyone. I have a 2010 SHO with the performance pack and only 36k miles. It seems to be tip top but no matter what I do I can only get about a 9 second 0-60 time. Is this the real number, not the 5 seconds I've seen other people say they got? Or is something wrong? Or is there some magic button or trick I'm not doing? HELP!!!

I'm looking for real answers. This isn't my first performance vehicle. I have tried power breaking a little to build boost, turning the air off, and turning the traction control all the way off.

What puzzles me is that there are no indicator lights on.

Umm yeah...... post a video maybe that will help. I have some stuff done but some website math puts me at 3.7x seconds. A bad launch should net u a six second. Something is bad wrong with that

9 seconds? My '97 Cougar with a 210HP 4.6L is faster than that

I got a solid low 5.3-5.5 seconds 0-60 with my bone stock 2013 w/pp, without power-braking or any other launch than slapping the pedal to the metal - that's with datalogging checking speed and timestamping it.

I can't think of anything off the top of my head that would put you at 9 seconds without lighting a check engine light.

I would check rear brakes for sticking calipers that would drag times down. Also, are you sure the car is running in boost, does it seem to have full power or is it running like a naturally aspirated car?

Ok, I should have checked this before asking but I just bought the car from Carmax and assumed they would have. My bad everyone. The dang air filter was dirty as ****. Pulled it out and went and ran a 6 sec. I can't believe they sold it like that.

Probably the only real time an intake would yield 30+hp. Lol
