    95 ATX, Transmission problems.

I just recently moved back to Michigan from Montana and drove the SHO. The car made it back with no problems, but, after the long drive I checked the oil for the transmission and it was black. The ATX is still working, except sometimes when it gets up to normal operating temp it does not want...

Engine Removal. Recover A/C system or not?

I'm planning on pulling the motor out to replace the Flexplate. Has anyone ever pulled the engine out while leaving the A/C system in place? Or should I take it to someone and have the A/C vacuumed out? I would prefer, if possible to unbolt the compressor and pull the engine out.

    noise coming from cam sprocket

It is a constant tapping noise. Can I buy a new tensioner from Autozone,or NAPA,or do I need to go through Ford? How difficult is it to replace?

    noise coming from cam sprocket

Like the title says, I have a knocking noise coming from the area shown in the picture. Can someone tell me why? What I might have to fix? I assume the timing chain may be loose. Any help is appreciated.[/IMG]

    A/C dilemma

I'm wondering if this is a clue to what's wrong with my a/c. The temperature outside is starting to drop around here at night,so yesterday I was driving and I turned the heat on full blast. The clutch starting engaging on and off the way I described it earlier in the thread. Is it supposed to...

Not quite sure what to title this one.

It doesn't start right away it just trys to turn over for a couple of seconds until I let go, than it starts the second time(it always starts the second time I turn the ignition). Sometimes when I try to start it and it doesn't look like it's going to start and I let go of the ignition it...

Not quite sure what to title this one.

I was searching through some threads about starting problems I have with my 95 atx. Someone said that your camshaft position sensor can affect your engine when it comes to starting the car. While working on my a/c I noticed that there is some oil build up on the cps(from reading through older...

    A/C dilemma

I put the gauge back on, first with the engine cold(sitting overnight)and the a/c off it read 65 psi, second when the engine reached normal operating temp and the a/c off it read 90 psi  . BTW before I messed with the clutch hub it would not engage at all, after I removed one of the washers...

    A/C dilemma

My A/C on my 95atx was not working, so I assumed that I had a leak somewhere and left it at that. One day last week for the hell of it I bought a gauge to check the pressure in my system. I hook up the gauge to the low side valve near the firewall, and it reads 65 psi so that rules out leak. So...

    Replacing resonator

I just bought my sho a couple of months ago. The previous owner put on an aftermarket exhaust with no resonater, it sounds so crappy I thought the muffler had a hole in it. I can't wait till I can get some money together to put a new exhaust on it with a resonater.

    Tech Tip of the Day

When I replaced my plug well seals, I sprayed intake cleaner in them and took a rag and a compressed air hose, stuck the air hose in the plug well held the rag over the top of it, and blew the oil and cleaner out the rag soaked up the fluid. came out perfect the plug wells are bone dry.

    need help

It takes about 5 seconds of holding the ignition all the way before it finally turns over, and once it didn't seem like it was going to start so I let go of the ignition and it just kicked on.

    need help

It's funny (and a little embarasing) how the little stuff can throw things off. I torqued down the intake bolts and it runs fine now. :o Thanx Blue-BY-U, did I mention how much I love this site. :thumb: It still doesn't start as well as I thought it would considering I cleaned out the plug wells.
