Wait a second...This may have been mentioned already. I just replaced 1 (3 more to go!) strut/spring assembly with one of Gary's coilovers + SHOsource top plates/mounts. The bathroom scale said ~ 28 lbs for my old koni/eibach and ~18 lbs for the coilover setup. So, I guess I'm shaving ~ 40 lbs from the car total with all 4 coilovers installed.
Going back out to do the driver's side now.

Wait a second...
You're actually putting the coilovers on your car?

I was wondering the lowering specs of different suspention set-ups? For instance Eibachs will drop me about 1 inch, and coilovers are about 2 1/2-3 inches. As I understand it from a post earlier in this thread, coilovers can save you about 40-50lbs!!
Now what i'm really wondering is, is there a nice coilover set-up that would drop the weight, but only lower about 1 inch? Or do all the coilover set-ups for the SHO normally lower you that much? Anything lower than 1 inch is just kinda impractical for me and I will just go with the Eibach/Koni set-up if there are no coilovers that fit that criteria. Thanks

My step dad walked outside while I was weighing the stuff...looked at me and said, "Well, I guess we can just tell you mom it's for gas mileage." Keep in mind this is in no way alot of weight but I am trying to keep it semi comfortable and more wil be coming out.
80 pounds is a lot of weight. Think of it as a perentage. That's ~2.5% of the car. I wish I could pull another 80lbs out of the car. I celebrate a small handfull of wires.
what's the list up to now Josh?Just weighed my car today, 3190 with me in it and a 1/4 tank! :woohoo:
I'm on my ipod, I'll post the list alittle later.
