Well, fits, holds the hood up, but I wouldn't advise trying to close the hood after you install them.

More like a prop rod relocation, one works just fine, must be removed to close the hood. :nut:

When I put the fstb on I had to take off the struts so I added a prop rod picked up at the bone yard. It gets in the way and I would like to make up a strut rod thats less powerful than the stock ones. If I can't come up with something I'll just modify the rod and use it.
Heres the old setup that can be used with stock hoods:

That's how Kirk does for his Cincy hood. I was thinkiing if having only one leverage point will put too much stress on the hood tho.

I didn't even notice that.. I had to check my car show pics..

The Cincy hoods weigh in at 40lbs vs the 24lb C/F hood. Cincy is only 20lbs lighter then the stock hood, so I can see how on his car it works with just the one prop. I guess I'll continue my search!

Kirk uses his as a prop rod too, not as a strut.

Didn't know the Cincy weights 40lb, I just picked one up and it feels way lighter than the stock hood. It's not as light as the CF hood when you let me pick up Matt W's, but still pretty good.

You know you can buy different struts that have different preset pressures... or find 1 of the 1000's of worn out oem hood struts that won't hold up the steel hood, but definitely would be up to the task of the cf. I use 2 weak struts to hold up my cincy. :salute:
