I have just gotten an ABS module from the junkyard and well low and behold that one doesn't work either. Is there anyway i can open it up clean it maybe and repair it instead of going back and forth to the junkyard looking for a good one (negating the fact that i could buy one in a store and guarantee it working ).

That would really suck to find out water got into the power relay and rusted it out. I just had one in the shop the owner bought 2 modules from me and then told me they were both junk and his abs still did not work. I sold him a power relay and all of a sudden the abs started to work.

I pulled ABS codes and the only code i pulled was

17-Reference voltage failure, caused by high/low battery voltage, main power relay, main fuse, wire harness or damaged anti-lock brake control module.

Check your wiring. On my '90 the ABS did not work when I got it. It turns out the main power wire for the ABS had gotten pulled out of the ring terminal but the insulation was hiding the fact that the wire was broken.

Ok, but when i got this car the abs worked most of the time, and as i had it stopped working more and more till it finaly decided it wouldnt work any longer, would that tell me that it is not a broken power wire?

Just got the relay in and :thumb: no more light.

Thanks everyone for all your help, i took everything out from the front end to try and find the front relay that is behind the headlight but couldn't find it, so i threw it on the rear relay and surprise surprise i try for the easier solution and it actually works.
Thanks again.
