Travel at 50-55, give it half’ish throttle, enough to kick down. If your RPM’s bounce as you accelerate, torque converter. Or, if you just have a good old fashion buzz.

And it kinda lags. Rpms do bounce. But if you punch it it pulls thru it. Worse at a start tho. Almost feels like air leak ? Gas issue or something. Definitely losing power as I accelerate

I think you'll notice a sudden total loss of power and very high revs in 1st or 2nd gear on a very hard pull. May hear a clunk.

How do I know if my torque converter is bad or going bad anyone had that issue ?
I had a torque converter start going bad on my old SHO and it felt totally different than a normal transmission slip. Mine started with a hesitation from 1st to 2nd, then eventually I noticed the RPMs would climb slightly before the car actually pulled. Later on it developed a light shudder around 40 mph under steady throttle. Never threw codes at first either. If you’re not getting any harsh shifts or obvious slipping yet, it could still be early stages, but honestly these cars also act very similar with boost leaks, weak coils, or fuel delivery issues. Definitely worth scanning live trans data before throwing a converter at it.
