Hi all, starting to get some TC shudder and looks like I'll be replacing the unit. All I've done is a Gearhead tune and probably won't be looking at more power in the near future. Is an OEM my best bet for my situation or are there upgraded aftermarket options worth my while? I get a decent deal on parts and labor through a Dealer that's in my dealer group and that would at least carry Ford Parts/Labor warranty if I go OEM. I see a few different options posted in the past and just want some opinions before I pull the trigger.

First, try a drain and fill, adding a tube or 2 of shudder fix.
Have been religious with drain and fills, added a couple tubes last time and it's only gotten worse. I don't want to wait any longer on the problem and have the TC blow material through the transmission. Have it parked for the winter and have built up the funds to do the job. See it too often on the Chevies I work on. Lol

I would get a GH torque converter, as far as I know it's the only available upgrade
