Been a couple months since I posted here but I thought I’d share some sound clips of my car. I’ve had it for a few months did all the maintenance and had the car gone over. I installed a roush intake, deleted the 3rd cat, and deleted the rear mufflers. There is some rasp in the rev range but little to no drone. The mods really made the car more fun for me. Not sure what I’m gonna do next, been thinking about more power but I’m pretty happy with it how it is.

I was mixed about the VTA mod but now I cant get enough of it, seems like you're aimed at hearing your machine so could always do the VTA mod and get the "PSSSHHHHH" when you let out of the throttle. I know CAI probably makes some whirlly noises but that PSSSSSHHHHH is something else.

I’ve thought about that, I owned a focus st for a while and that had a BOV that made that noise every time I let off. I just assumed that the factory used a bypass valve to keep the boost circulating so I don’t want it to fall out of boost by venting to atmosphere. Not sure if that’s the case with this car, but that was the case with my WRX STI.

works the same process - recycles and release turbo gasses to the atmosphere - however our turbos are small and thus build up boost quickly. The benefit - and I could be wrong is blowing out those dirty gasses versus recycling.
