I bought a set of "used" new PPE downpipes. They came in and yesterday I coated them with DEI Hi-Temp Silicone Coating. I then wrapped them in DEI Titanium Exhaust Wrap. Then I coated the wrap in DEI Hi-Temp Silicone Coating. I am hoping to install them this weekend.

Side note, I am already tuned, will I need a tune before I run these or am I safe to run them for a few days before a revision?

Good question RP.

I have plenty of space for the storage. I mean s.hit, all my tires are stacked in the garage now.

Never thought of just picking up another set of wheels. 1st thought is the wife would cringe at that expense, shrugging it off as unnecessary, but hey, she came around to the dedicated winter shoes when she saw herself how well they were/are on her own car. Maybe she'll warm up to a 2nd set of wheels to?

Now i find myself shrugging my shoulders. Haha. Baby steps Ron, baby steps.
I always get a set for my Winter tires. Done it for all my vehicles.
Have 3 sets currently hanging in the garage and a fourth one in the basement, but my son gets to carry those down. First one on the left is the SHO's, already off.

Boost monitored. Looks like for most part I don't make any until like 4k and up rpms. Generally 8-10psi but a spike to 12 once. Not sure how often I'm supposed to actually have boost on a stock car

This shit kills me.

It's like when people were hacking up cobra terminators and putting cages in them and tubbing them.. Why not GT's or base models

Why not do that to base models? Lmao

Wicked. Can't wait to see the weight when you get her on the scales.
I’m removing more stuff but also adding some stuff so at the end of the day if it looks more like a complete interior in the front but is the same weight around 3800 lbs or a little lighter I will take that as a win.

I’m cleaning up my 2014 rdu and replaced both shaft seals, and I’m about to reseal the cover…..guys you should really invest in buying a service manual. I bought one online and downloaded it as a PDF to my computer. Here I’m wondering what the torque specs are on the rdu cover before I apply new gasket maker…and the service manual is like the best thing I’ve ever bought for this car! Literally tells me everything I need. Just wanted to share how valuable this is….was about $40 for online workshop and service manual. Paper copy is over $100. Highly recommended to all who work on their own car. B421EAE3 91A1 4BD4 997A AF546E463778F07BDACE D9FB 46E5 8A72 495EE59C2F5C

Went with Wagner BD180462E Premium E-Coated Brake Rotors, I live in Ontario's snowbelt and the amount of road salt they spread around here is ridiculous so I always go for coated.
I like ceramic pads (some hate them), been using these mid-grade ones for a while on my other vehicles with good results, Power Stop Z17 Evolution. Still too soon to say how they do on the SHO.
Update:
Its been a bit more than a year. Checked the pads recently and very minor wear was noticed.

On the other hand, I used these same pads (Power Stop Z17 Evolution) on my Pathfinder and they only lasted 25,900 km (16,100 miles). R52 Pathfinders are known to wear the rear brake pads fast because they are way undersized (same pads as the Sentra) but this is ridiculous. Damaged one of the rotors as I wasn't expecting them to wear so fast.

That always bugged me about Termis and Cobras getting hacked up. Yep, just do a base or GT.

OTOH, with SHOs, it isn't like they're rare, special models. More like a base Mustang GT.

because racecar! haha

I did always cringe when I see some of the locals buying $30k Cobras then basically turning them into GTs for drag racing. Could've just started with a $2800 GT and put a build Teksid in and be $10k into the car lol. But when you talk to those guys they want the heritage of the Cobra. Most of them end up being salvage title cars though.
