Im tyring to choose which tune I should go with for the best 93 Octane tune

Unleashed:

or

Diablo:

What do most SHO owner's go with?

Also how does the E85 fuel work for the SHO? What kind of Tune should it take and why do so many people prefer it over 93 Octane tunes?

most go with SCT and GH or Ortiz. If you have E85 you can blend it to E30 and get a tune for the E30 and 93.

Gearhead has been the best I've run

If you run a 93 octane tune you can splash a gallon or two of e85 in the tank to bring the octane up, or get an e30 tune and feel the real power.

Isn't there a risk of engine knock if you use too much E85 also does E30 have a higher octane rating than E85?

There is a risk of losing fuel pressure if you run too high a percentage of e85.

No e30 does not have a higher octane rating than e85. You mix e85 with 93 octane pump gas to achieve e30. 93 octane gas here is already 10% ethanol. E85 can be anywhere from 60-85% ethanol.

You're thinking backwards..e85 has an effective octane rating of about 105-108...that's how you lower knock...

But since stoich for e85 is about 9.8, you'll need more of it, so, as was mentioned, when you start cranking up the power you need to be able to really feed the beast. If not, you'll lose fuel pressure...

I'd definitely recommend sticking with a tuner that offers SCT support, much more options that way if you aren't happy. Very few people are still using the Diablosport system, so much like LMS's handhelds, if you aren't happy it's an expensive road to try something/someone else.

Also one thing to note on E30, DO NOT use pump E30, always mix yourself. Pump E30 is made with an 87 base stock, so your effective octane is about 89, where as mixed E30 (5 gallons of E85 for 12 gallons of 91/93) will have the effective equivalent of 95-98 octane depending on your E85 concentration and which base fuel you're mixing with.

We have power packs in stock ready to ship at Ortiz Performance, let me know if we can help!
