Part number for the block if this is what you are looking for?
View attachment 15969
He's looking more for the SN of the block so that he can attempt to track down the history of it. Seems there's a discrepancy on what he's looking at and what the shop is telling him and I think he's doing some detective work, lol.

Replaced my brake pads today, they've been squealing pretty bad for a couple weeks. Didn't use anything fancy...0927201459b

Question, though...when I got them off, they had a lot of meat on them...so...why the squealing?

Would decelerating for 140 mph cause them to glaze over?

I’m no expert, and I believe most of us are not... so,

Let’s poll the experts. SM105K 802SHO bpd1151 what kind of crazy shit happens to your brakes when cutting your speed in half on the regular?

Glazed brake pads and/or shoes: The brakes have been heated up to the point that they become hardened and are no longer create enough friction on the brake drum or rotor.

This condition can occur after the brakes have been overused, either because of excessive panic stops, riding of the brake, lots of city driving or in some cases driving on steep hills. The braking material must be soft enough to wear and grab hold of the drum or rotor to stop the car. Excessive overheating hardens the braking material beyond its ability to do this. This condition can cause the brakes to make all kinds of noises, from squeaking to grinding. It will also reduce braking performance.

Other things that cause disc brakes to be noisy is warped rotors or rotor surface problems, dirt and debris, cheap or wrong brake material for the application and pad hardware missing.

My last set of brakes lasted 17k miles but I didn’t really reef on them too much until the last couple years 2018-2019. Started to feel they were warped last year ...but looked halfway Decent like Kevin’s although less meat than his when I replaced them.

Injectors and hpfp on the way from uwe at XDI! I bought even more AN fittings for the trans cooler! That's all I've done today. Apparently @FiveLeeter918 at Ortiz ponied up and bought five sets of xdi injectors so he could sell them off so if anybody needs some he has some lol.

Warping from heat! Can only put to much heat into the stock rotor size apparently lol

I have been pretty brutal with mine, and they are fine. However, SBS posted pics of his cracking. Was wondering how yours are.

Those were my powerstops with about 10k hard miles on them. Replaced with R1 but haven't had an opportunity to back road them the same as I did the powerstops. Pads were still in good shape. No cracks that I could see. I'm hard ******* my brakes probably in comparison to Fauntleroy
