2016 sho PP with 47k miles. new to me. only had it for a week or so. clean carfax not that it matters. anyway, probably should have left well enough alone for the time being, was driving fine. changed all the fluids. and like a boss decided "hey lets go ahead and get that livernois thing" so i got the one with plugs, the cai, tuner, map, tstat.
anyway fast forward to yesterday, was hoping they'd have sent my tune by the end of the day so i started installing parts. pulled the battery, and cleaned everything first no problem. everything went in easy. plenty of room to work. all hoses and coil packs and parts in and out easily gently. much easier than working upside down in a boat hull on a mercruiser v8. i figured it shouldn't make much difference if i have to run with slightly different parts for a day or two before installing the tune. was i wrong?
started it up... was shuddering and running rough at first but then idle stabilized. then if you give it any gas it stutters and runs rough. did i not install the coil packs correctly? i pushed them down as far as they could go, even torqued the plugs and the hold down bolts for the coil packs carefully to spec.
also on first startup after everything put back in "advancetrac" warning light appears... read it might be related to me just taking the battery out for a while... is that true?
never had a vehicle before where these kind of changes would cause all **** to break loose. what do i do now just wait for the tune and hope that solves the issues? put all the old stuff back in ? nowhere in the instructions does it say wait to install the parts till you can flash the new tune... or is that just common knowledge? putting a cai and some slightly hotter plugs in a motor shouldn't make it do this.. tune or no tune
what do you guys think? not blaming anyone here btw, just really wanting to drive my new expensive car.
