Well duh! You think I'm wondering about that spacer? ....lmaoInsert inappropriate comment or meme here______________________

You think it'll hold up to torque specs before cracking? It doesn't need much (factory calls for 89in-lbs and then 45deg), just curious...

Lol, I get it...its been used out there in the wild. Doesn't always mean it's up to par. Only reason why I ask is because I asked this question directly to the guy making them and he got silent on the issue. It also sounds like he's printing them out on a 3d printer at his house. Now come on people tested these things! I remember someone towing something and talking about coolant temps...so uh YES! I'm sure the part was researched and not just cut out to physical size.

That being said, these are by no means alarm bells. I want one and have my name on the list for one. 89in-lbs isn't much and I applaud anybody workin to push this platform forward, from those working out our garage to those with full-on shops.
But I'm not sure what kind of resin he may be using to make these and I have some concerns about longevity and durability. How will it hold up to the heat for the life of the vehicle, etc. Will it get brittle and crack over time? If I knew what material he uses specifically, I'd feel better. I'd hate for this to crack down the road and a piece getting sucked into engine....
Once again, not knocking the product, just asking questions since there isn't much info out there on it yet.
Exactly....some parts I'm more lenient on utilizing with minimal field testing but this is one product that, if it were to fail, it could be quite dramatic...or maybe not...just don't know...You share my concerns. I applaud any innovative ideas but I always wonder about the research and testing. It interesting if you ever get a chance to talk with Ford guys about testing, they break stuff, a lot... until they figure out how not to...which leads to compromise in most situations.

Any idea how durable it is or what kind of plastic/resin he used to make it? Can it make the factory torque specs pretty reasonably?side shot at the thermostat housing
Hung like a field mouse, you *****.
Just the way you like it. Squeak squeak.
Now back to your hole minion.View attachment 14447
