Sometimes you get items magnafluxed or sonic checked to make sure there are no cracks you are missing. Just looking to spend your hard earned cash.:smash:

I keep thinking about your situation and I really think what happened is your first cylinder sucked just hair too much meth and created micro hydrolock, it's kind of that straw that broke camel's back.
Maybe meth spitted out just hair too much, maybe it did not mix just right, number of reasons but I think thats what did it.

OKAY, now that I am in a spot to sit an type this out first off! This is a Raptor crank for the SHO! I have to get another crank timing sprocket and I THINK the raptor one will work, if not I will have to come up with a spacer. Not the end of the world, but a little bump

SECOND OFF! HUGE HUGE UPDATE Anthony DiCunzolo who makes the awesome trans mounts for the platform has given me an opportunity on sponsoring a set of rods for the build. He didn't want anything in return, but I can't let something like that go unnoticed. Absolute huge thanks to Anthony for making a product I can 100% back and love to use. There is a reason why it's my #1 physical mod for the platform. Really changed my car. Anthony is THE MAN!

I just wish Anthony would credit his suppliers/builders the way he gets credited...but free shit is free shit. In other news im anxious to see the crank get installed and wish I could push you to see if you can get other 3.5 H.O. parts to make work. I understand it doesn't make sense to blow a bunch of money unless you are going for records lol

I think if you go to a fabricator with an idea for a mass produced product they know you are going to resell then there is no point in crediting them. They get paid to fabricate not paid and praised. Same with 99.9% of outsourced products like... Ecoboost power parts hot pipes or the gearhead intercooler. Neither of those are made in house and certainly not by the ones who's names are on the products. It's status quo for when you bring something to a market and surely not limited to only Anthony. Almost like FoMoCo branding on the majority of their products whether they be bosch etc etc. Just 2 cents. Comes with the whole not having to market it thing also

You would be surprised how many private label parts that PPE makes. Yet you never hear them crying about recognition. We have beaten this horse to death. We have the picture evidence and the performance evidence. SSM makes a shit product and Anthony didn't use them afterwards, then they ripped his design and took credit for it. That is what happened. The Gen 2 tq mounts are Anthony's product made to his specs by a private label. There really isn't anything else to discuss about it.

Gearhead did give them credit. As do FoMoCo if you look into it. I didn't mean to get you all defensive.

Now go buy some raptor heads and intake and make it happen. Lol

I couldn't care any less about this part vs that part. Its comical the dead horse jumps up any time someone mentions wheel hop. Lmao

I'd be interested to hear from PPE on this.

My only point was I give credit to every supplier and manufacturer on every project, even something as simple as bolts and washers...i don't have to...I'm not required to...but it feels like the right thing to do. I believe thats why I have never lost a customer and get ridiculous discounts from my suppliers.

I also spend way too long researching every single thing I purchase. I have 300~items in my amazon cart waiting for me to finish recon before trigger pulling.

Now get this thread back on track!
This thread is for 666whp Taurus rippa!

PPE is local to me. I talked with Paul as he let me tour the facility. I asked how many products they make...he said, "a ton..mostly private label".

Tenor

Anywho, sent a message to RMB about his solution for the crank timing sprocket. Don't expect too much because trade secrets and what not, I believe I just need to buy the truck crank timing sprocket. Hope the machine shop gets back to me shortly on the block clearances so I can order parts if needed. Also picked up a 16+ crank pulley as I was told by Matt at gearhead it was necessary for the crank.

So that would be the inverse of what we are discussing. That makes PPE the supplier...
Anyways...let's get back to the build!
Quad LPFP feeding dual HPFP!!! 4 turbos! Carbon fiber front clip !!!

Actually the "Private Label" would be the supplier. They are supplying the product to me. PPE would be the manufacturer, because they made the product. If PPE were to become the supplier while still building the product, I am sure they would buy the rights and then probably get give a cut to the designer. That is how business is conducted properly.

I guess I am mistaken and I didn't check my post before sending it. I thought I typed manufacture/supplier.
I thought they made and sold them directly.
As far as design goes, what are the specs for this part? I've never actually seen that information. Is there a patent or other design contract or can anyone measure and reproduce? I'm all for being educated on parts manufacturing especially if it concerns r&d.

Jordan are you going to get the new assembly speccd for lighter weight or just strength? Also are you upgrading the flexplate and converter?

The whole story with the TQ mounts for our cars in a nut shell.

Anthony designed the mounts. He had SSM manufacturer the mounts in the beginning. Anthony didn't like the quality that SSM produced. After round and round, Anthony switched manufacturers.

SSM continued to produce the mounts, and on their website said they cut out the middle man (Anthony) and made improvements to "their design". They haven't and they still produce junk.

So there is a divide.

Strength but everything will be balanced. Flex plate not getting Upgrade and converter staying. Have thought about putting a new oem converter in while I'm at it though
