I'll be honest, the SHO was almost everything I wanted in a sedan. I could live with everything except they took away all hope of a solid aftermarket by making it too different from the mustang or the truck. We all know why... They didn't want a 3.5 Ecoboost mustang to outshine the GT 5.0... the hilarious thing is the truck is the opposite, they detune the f150 5.0 to let the 3.5 take the victory lap.

Riddle me this, why do they make a H.O. 3.5 motor for the f150 and a sport package, but no performance package 5.0 which would use direct bolt in parts from the mustang bin? Would noone buy a 2020 Lightning? Bullsh!t!

I agree. Ford wants to show the 3.5 EB in the trucks makes as much power as the 5.0 in the trucks, but they get better fuel economy. In the truck world that is a big deal.

However, the Mustang is a different story....it is quite comical when you think about it.

Exactly!!!! Noone cares if mustang gets 5mpg or anything like that but they can sell 26mpg trucks all year long.

If it was a rwd based awd sedan it would be everything I would be looking for. **** I'd take just rwd so you could push it without crossing your fingers hoping the weak front driveline won't take a dump.

Even better they make police F-150 and they are way better than the explorer in everything except cargo space unless they get cargo boxes or similar. But they made the explorer version much cheaper.
I honestly think a modern Gen SHO will have to convert to FWD only to get decently into the 10s.

The PTU is a flawed design until someone makes a billet case that holds 3x more fluid and has properly routed cooling. Annnd then we will see rearends scattering more shards than a group of methheads that see blue lights.

I can do rolling burnouts at 40mph, but that's on stock tires and the e-locker disengages above 25mph or so

I don't know you have to assume everybody wants to fight you on stuff but my only rebuttal for you will be Matt's words and not my own.

"start time is set and you only have 720 degrees do to something with the fuel.... once you exceed that you put fuel in so late it just comes out of the exhaust and makes it look rich but it is really lean"

What happens when fuel rail pressure dips. Afr "looks" good but what your actually doing is pouring fuel after combustion has already happened. So in a log everything will look peachy until it's not

That is the general gist though you really only have from the time the exhaust valve closes until the spark event occurs, which ends up being less than 300 degrees or in that neighborhood. The ecu has an end-of-injection angle limit that won't allow the injector to squirt during ignition. That is, unless it gets tinkered with. But even then if you inject all the way to the last millisecond you end up with not enough time for the the fuel to vaporize + the way the squirt hits the piston and distributes through the chamber gets jacked up, wreaking havoc on the flame front.

Then obviously on the opposite end if you squirt with the exhaust valve still open then the fuel just gets dumped into the exhaust like he said

Edit: I'm guessing 720 was a typo for 270, which sounds right

The real question is.....

At what point are LMS and SSI put into the same sinking boat?

I already made my claims with facts. I am done with you son. Go to your room.
Sure you did, sport. You must've just accidentally activated the invisible ink feature of your keypad when you did it. Same with the imaginary defense from others. Just remember next time that good behavior gets you treats and bad behavior gets the newspaper, and we won't have to have these little lessons anymore.

SSI is still setting and holding almost all the records with or without reliability and a ride home afterwards.

Just like how they "broke" the sho record with no proof other than a time slip with a 2.0 sixty foot

Blahahaha I bolded the best statement LMS has ever posted!

That is rich. The LMS employee that posts on the SHO forum, has had zero preferred treatment for his SHO.... I trust Mexcian tap water more.

I got some ocean front property in Arizona I will sell you cheap!
Per the preferred treatment comment this vehicle is just a fun daily driver, i do not have a need to push it to the max limits because i have another vehicle i heavily mod and race. No point in trying to squeeze every ounce of power out of a daily driver even though if i asked and wanted to it could be done in a heartbeat.
Sorry bud, you have zero say about this post. As of matter of fact, I have a couple more questions for you.

Per this thread......

https://www.ecoboostperformanceforum.com/index.php/topic,10397.0.html

The owner stated LMS had installed his HPFP on another customers car, to verify it worked (or not). They claimed it did work properly.

So the real question that begs to be asked, did LMS install a (now determined to be) defunct HPFP onto another customer's car for testing purposes? That pump was tested by third party and deemed defunct.

Did that customer authorize that? Does that customer even know? Also, don't you have a SHO owned by an employee (that has never gotten preferred treatment....lol)?

Also there was a delay in returning the fuel pump from the owner from LMS.

It seems LMS also kept his HPFP for just long enough to return to him, where it just got out of warranty (by like one week) and they did nothing for him, citing the expired warranty.

Does that even sound like the proper protocol to diagnose an issue? Especially one coming from a company that claims to have multi millions of dollars worth of specialized equipment to help fabricate things??

Per this comment of course the customer knew about it, we do not just go and randomly put parts on a customers car, every single thing we do here has to get customer apporoval first, we will not even put a thermostat in without the customer giving us the thumbs up, its just not how we operate.

Are you just going to repeat yourself? So you admitted guinea pigs customers cars for fix your "stellar" tuning? It seems you guys cant figure out how get max power out of these car regardless.

Are you going to address the failed/defunct pump and how you used it on another customers car, then delayed the return of the defunct pump (saying it was functional) past the warranty date?

That line is a complete crock of crap. Just so we are crystal clear. You chose to use a customer's car (and that customer approved it) to test a proven defunct HPFP? Did you explain to them that the pump was bad? Bet you didn't because you RETURNED A DEFUNCT PUMP back to the owner, and passed it off as good! WTH? Why would you do that, when you have your SHO there? Makes zero sense.

Also in past posts you have done things (proven) without customer consent as well. Also I love how you just completely disregarded the whole delayed return of the defunct pump past the warranty date question. Geez.....those true colors keep shining true.
