There's a couple guys on the FB page that made them work. Corin neal and seth veith I believe. You have to redrill the mounting plate and move something else.

iirc, the front struts mount into the spindles differently on the 96+, so the coilovers from that will not fit on the earlier SHOs if that is accurate, unless you swap over to the 96+ front spindles. I forget what all is involved in doing that...
the upper mounts just attach to the top of the strut, so even if they are different you can put on the correct ones.
