Is this the correct catch can port orientation?

The reason I'm asking is I went to clean it out today and there was only just a film of oil in the bottom . Virtually nothing after about six weeks and 500 mi. My concern is I've got the ports backwards .

Well, is it possible your car just doesn't have a lot blow by? LMS themselves said that if you have a lot of oil in your PCV system you have other issues and a CC is just a band aid for the real issue.

So maybe that is why it's not producing any product on my 2018. Do I even need the LMS o wonder .

The factory one is really just a breather filter. No way to drain out the gunk. I’m running the jlt and only got maybe an ounce out after about 4K miles. So you seeing nothing after 500 miles I wouldn’t be to worried.

My UPR catches 2 to 3 ounces every 3k miles. Pretty sure my turbos are worn out that is a problem. In a couple of weeks, I will change my oil and pull the plug on my IC to see if anything comes out.

It doesn't hurt. If you were to tune your car you will get more blow and that is where the real value is in an after market catch can.

a new catch can will not in most cases deposit a lot of debris in the can until the filter media has been saturated then the gunk can drop. Mine had about 1200 miles before I saw anything show up. Now after 14k i get a good amount after 3 to 4k miles. I have a RXP dual valve catch can btw.
