Plus the GH i thought i read had a drain valve? I have a RXP dual side large can oil separator, it yanks tons of condensation out of the intake in the winter & fall months, not so much in summer. The can is under the front drivers wheel well area whete it stays cool and help cause the condensation and hence get rid of it.

Also several posts on whether the GH CAC will run on stock tune without a code has as of yet gone unanswered...

Probably cause no one has tried it.... I thought about it... but then I would need to swap my fuel pump and sensors twice.... maybe one day... just not anytime soon.

Just watched the video and realized I'll have to get my Ford mechanic to do it due to recent back surgery restrictions. I'm hoping you guys can help with what's next. I have the GH AO tune which I love, and now I'm assuming that after the IC install, I would contact Matt and he would send me a new tune. Do I need anything else?

I am doing the intercooler first. It will make the engine more efficient which in turn should take some of the "strain" off the fuel system. There are many people making good power without any fuel pressure problems (myself included). Personally spending $1600 on a fuel pump that truly isn't needed, isn't appealing. However keeping the IAT down is truly needed, esp with this platform. People are saying a 30 to 40 hp pickup just from the intercooler. $799 is peanuts for that kind of power, and better efficiency.
I was reading online earlier this week that every 10F drop in temp increase HP by 1%. So on a 400AWHP car, to get 40 HP would require 100F drop in temps. This was on a site the sells upgraded ICs. I would think that with the new GH IC you would see the benefits primarily on days when the engine is getting really heat soaked and the IAT values are getting up to say 160F. I was watching my IAT values this week driving to works and the temps were in the 40s. I never saw the IAT get above 60. I even did several WOT and the IAT did not change. If it turns out that a tune is not needed I would get one as the heat in Dallas definitely makes my car feel like a Limited edition.

They should qualify that when on race fuel that would apply (1% rule). The intercooler is good for 40-50hp on a 90 degree day on 93 octane pump gas because of the timing retard that has to happen when post intercooler temps are 175-180 degrees...

My intercooler is in. I'm going to drive it with the old program for a couple of days so I can recognize the difference before and after updating.
Thanks to all for the advice found in this forum. I pulled the dipstick and bought a variety of push type fasteners to re-assemble, as half the old ones were destroyed during removal. I'm slow and careful, logging 18 hours to complete. Had to do some repair work on hidden damage from getting too close to parking lot curbs.

18 hours? I did it in 5 and felt like I could do it in 3 if I did another one.
