It is a cold today here in NWI(north west Indiana) -20 in the morning about -10 now. Warmed up my SHO hopped in start driving and my climate controls is stuck on defrost only. I'm making a assumption that it will work properly once it warms up. Anyone else have experience with this?

let me be more specific when I make a selection no matter what it only blows from the defrost. Hoping its just frozen vents and it didn't fry the actuator.

Any clicking noises when settings are changed?
The actuators are known to go bad and strip the gears.

Nothing that I have heard, i was trying to listen while driving and idling but nothing. It's going to be -20 overnight again with a high of +2 tomorrow so i doubt if they happen to be frozen it still won't work till the weekend. Hopefully those cheap actuator didn't go out I don't want to deal with the dealership even though I have a warranty.

How old is the battery in your SHO. Check CCAs, when at ambient and after engine is warmed up. U would think mode door problem or low coolant problem, but it can be electrical as well.

Check the incabin temp sensor on the driverside dash for blockage.

Mode doors control which vents air comes from. Actuators control the temperature of that air.
