Yeah...good info. I don't have an ecoboost anymore but I had no idea anyone wound them to 6500 or more. My 2010 MKS shifted around 6200 and that seemed perfect to me.

LMS RPM

SCT captures 6514rpms at the top of first on my 2010 SHO with the LMS 4+X Meth Race Tune.

After talking with Anthony at LMS.. one of the biggest reasons they are able to move the RPMS that far out and still be efficient is the extra tables they have access to with their proprietary software. They are able to hold the load flat all the way out to that shift point. On the 2010-2012's there is a bit of a drop off but on the 2013+ at least with mine, its flat all the way out to shift.

A lot of other tuners shift earlier to keep the car in the peak power band, but if LMS can extend that out further allowing the car to have MORE time in that power band you will get better track results.. I would imagine.

Have you had your car dyno'd? I wonder how much past the back side of the graph your shifts are....

My car starts to nose over around right at 5,500 rpm. So a 6000 rpm shift keeps me closer to the powerband.

I am sure with DP's and the 3rd cat delete the powerband probably could be pushed up higher in the RPM range. That would be later down the road.

Funny you ask... I have called every place within a couple hours drive that I can find to get a dyno done... they either don’t have mechanically linked dyno, or their dyno is broken... so no.. I can’t get a dyno done lol...

Nice dyno though!

Thank you sir. Having the trans gone through right now. However she will be back in action and ready to crack that 400 AWHP mark tune only.

I was communicating with LMS yesterday via this Forum through PM. They're also getting me an updated tune for my 91, 93, 100 V11 version. I've had no issues with LMS since I got the tune about 4 years ago. This is the only issue and really hope the new version solves this issue and I checked my tranny fluid yesterday and made sure it was exactly at Half Quart (1 Pint) past full. I had my car on a Mustang Dyno last week and it pulled 333 WHP and 390 WTQ with my LMS tune and mods. I'm pleased. But for fun I'm going to install the Gearhead tune next week and go back to the dyno and compare the 2.

I believe it is always good to have a couple of reference points.

I have two 93 3bar v11 tunes one regular and one soft shift. When in sport mode with the soft shift tune I think it is 4 th gear it will not shift and it revs right up. Then eventually shifts hard but I don’t like to have it rev so much. Regular tune no issues. Don’t really use sport mode. Don’t think it’s really needed. Hope there is a cure.

I heard from LMS and they’re supposed to try my specific tune on another 2016 SHO to try to figure out what’s going on. In the meantime, I think I’m just going to run stock. I really hope they can figure out what’s going on because the car is a lot of fun on V11 but the shifting weirdness just isn’t something I can live with on a daily driver.

From reading the other posts in this thread and in other threads, even though this isn’t common, it seems to be an issue with more than just mine. Of course I’m in the minority of SHO owners that’s having issues. Story of my life... Lol

I just spent 600 bucks with LMS, and they have a no refund policy, so I’m hoping they can fix it before I spend even more money. Right now I’m pretty fed up with the whole thing and wishing I had just left it stock. Crossing my fingers they can figure it out.

I don't mean to LOL...... but LOL! I'm in the same exact boat with you and we aren't rowing fast enough with our cars and in life! Seems like everything I have has to be "fixed," 2 or 3 times before it really is fixed!
Anyway, LMS sent me a revised tune for my car last night to address this shifting issue. I haven't had a chance to load it yet, car goes to dealer for maintenance and then I have a business trip. I flashed back to stock for dealer. I'll load it next week and report back.
I've had LMS from Day 1 on my car (last 4 years) and never had any issues, till this shifting thing popped up in the recent year. Good luck brother!

Having the same problem mine. I recently installed the LMS catted DP's running the v11 93 octane tune. Before the DP's I was also running the v11 93 octane tune and, didn't have the shifting problem. I threw in some 542 plugs @.030 along with some MSD coils and it changed nothing. I was planning on contacting LMS tomorrow and sending them whatever logs they may need to fix it. Lemme know if you hear anything from them.

There are currently two threads about this... it’s getting confusing as LMS is responding to both.... here is the current information. LMS believes they have a fix for it, just PM them with your info and say your having the shifting problem... more info here...

No. My thread is more about the comparison between LMS & Gearhead. I'm running both tunes and going to dyno both on the same dyno to compare numbers. I just happened to mention that I hope my shifting issues go away the Gearhead tune and that took off like a rocket!
