Although the CEL won't be visible to you, your car still won't pass emissions though, as the readiness indicators will be programmed off, thus causing a 'fail' at your respective testing facility.

Just FYI.

Good to know.

Is there a real, tested benefit of not having cats on DPs?

Well, I have not tested it, but you have a honey comb in the exhaust stream. It's a restriction no matter how you look at it. Flow will be reduced some. If you can't ****, you won't eat. When the exhaust is exiting it creates a vacuum behind it as well as a pulse. This will be affected by flow characteristics. Flow out easier, flow in easier.

Turbochargers need expanding gasses/heat to spin the turbine and subsequent compressor. If those gasses can't get out, there is no spool.

Also, catless downpipe weigh less ;) so faster car. Well, I may be pushing it here.

How much of a performance gain there is with one or the other is a question best asked to LAS. They likely have dynoed the same car with the two parts to get an idea of the actual difference.

New guy question,
Is there any drawback to just using the LMS downpipes with the stock mufflers? I’m not the biggest fan of exhaust on a V6, just sounds anemic coming from a V8.

IDK. The Corsa sounds pretty good, Dynomax mufflers too, and then there is bpd's custom exhaust, to mention a few. Drone can be tuned out with a custom resonator.

Dynomax on mine..... I like them a lot, however they do get a bit of a loud drone at certain RMPs, mostly uphill tho. If it bothers me I just use the paddle shifters to switch gears and forget about it. Just FYI. (I'm catless tho)
