Just started running 91 octane ethonal free in my sho (2) tank fulls now. Any thing wrong with this ? Good bad or ugly things gonna happen ? When I picked the car up it had a full tank not sure what was in there got good mpg like 22.5 my normal drive routine. First time I filled up went with 93 octane 10% ethonal , mpg was 19.5 -20. Performance was good both ways. Still new to the car not sure what to expect. Man I put that e- free fuel in and holyshit its like a whole new machine. I know about the fuels and things was just wondering how all yous feel about it. Oh yeh the car is stock. I like the e free gas but if it’s gonna hurt gotta say bye bye.

There's no reason ethanol free gas would hurt anything. If anything it would actually be the opposite in that E10 would be the once that could cause damage. But since all vehicles now are designed to run on at least E10, neither is going to cause an issue. I would expect slightly better mileage with the ethanol free gas.

My understanding is that the computer will adjust timing, etc based on whatever fuel you use. I was told that the 93 octane would provide more power.

I’m gonna try another tank of 93 maybe two let the computer adjust like you said it does adjust and see what I really like just to be sure ! I’m not a crazy person I can defiantly tell it feels stronger with the e free gas. Idk maybe was in shock still from finally owning a sho. So it shall be 93 vs E-free for a few tanks.

I can tell the difference between 87 and 93 performance wise. Ford even admits that the car will make less power on lower octane, but unless you have an aftermarket tune requiring a certain octane you should be fine.

Should have a stock mode tune, then you have no issues with the aftermarket tune either.
