I think that's Ruby Red, but somebody either has a problem with the color balance on their camera or else doesn't do photoshop very well.

That was part of the point I was trying to make. If you are looking for a a specific color and or options you have to be ready to buy as some are quite rare and you might have to wait a while to find another. There were just under 7592 2013s about half were black. But if you wanted to find a 2013 in Deep Impact Blue with Grey suede and it's 106. Add PP or adaptive cruise and massaging seats your prob in the single digits.

I was wondering that number 7592 is that just SHO's or does that include Taurus's as well. If the only made 1808 in 2012 that is a pretty big jump in production.

I have to disagree with the person who said they are not that rare, unless you want to buy a new one which most people graduating from collage cant afford a $50,000 car, finding exactly the one you want can be a time consuming. That also depends on the person, I knew a guy who didn't care at what color his car hings was. On the other hand hate silver and don't care for red even though I have a red Mustang.

Once again if its what you want just go buy the car and figure it out. In general I have always regretted the things I did as opposed to the things I didn't do.

I can't remember where I found this, it may have been on here but 2013 was a refresh year so it makes sense they made more. I believe 2010 was similar.

So I've been pretty serious about buying a SHO for about a month now. I've done my research and determine exactly what I want, and I finally found it but this particular model is about seven hours away from me.

I'm graduating college in about a month and I'm 100% willing to make the trip down, my only concern is that the car wont last on the lot another month. So my question is: should I contact the dealer about it now to let them know I'm interested, or should I just let it lie until I'm available to drive out to the dealership?

Thanks for help guys!
Ok, I will clarify my statement. If the price is incredible buy it now. If the price is typical, then you can wait because it will probably be there for a month or two or until they decide they really want to move it.

Where would you say $25,000 for a 25,000 mile 2014 falls on the spectrum? From my research, that seems fair, maybe not incredible though.

Regardless, the earliest I can possibly buy it is mid to late May, no matter how bad I want it.

that would be at least a couple grand too high in this part of the country.

To high... kbb says it should be $23,900 and that's fully loaded in mint condition....

Completely not worth the effort of a cross country purchase...

I know this is just a place to network, get advice, share story's, and generally **** time, BUT don't you think you kind of buried the lead on this one. Maybe you should have started out with, (Hey found the car I want but cant look at it or pick it up till mid-May). That would have put a different spin on the thread. Just MHO

I would say that is average. I would bet you could find one with less than 10k miles for that price. I got my 2015 with 450 miles for 30k a couple months ago.

Maybe, but I get the feeling that he's afraid someone will "snipe" this car since he won't say where it is. I'd love to have someone go check out a car free of charge to me.

Got me. Is it an irrational fear?

I have no idea where he is, seems to be a lot more of these cars in the mid-west or rust belt but I will tell you here in mid-Atlantic you don't really see that many of them and they don't stay on the lots long.

Never buy a car you cannot pay cash for.

Maybe but if your a responsible person sometimes having something to pay for is the same as saving money. Some people barrow money for a car even when they have it, just because they cost so much and you never know when you may have an emergency. I always found it interesting that being able to afford the car you want is completely different then actually owning it
