I have a buddy with an early 2000's M3 that was totaled from hitting a raccoon on the highway. It kind of shocked me that a M3 was totaled from a simple raccoon.

When I hit a dear with my car and was able to choose if I wanted Ford factory parts. It might have been an Indiana law, but because it was the current body style of the vehicle I was able to chose. I was surprised but it was nice to find out.

Mostly it's a insurance thing always been my choice but state farm recommends factory replacement but if needed will only buy parts equal to factory
Usaa recommends aftermarket like factory parts and if at all dissatisfied will get the proper part. Both agencies worked great with me.

I looked it up and it is Indiana code (27-4-1.5-8) that allows the insured person to determine if they want OEM or used parts. I did find out that this only applies to body panels and not mechanical components. But in the case of being hit by a deer, it was all body panels. Being an Indiana law, that won't really help 2013blacksho.

Had to rearrange the garage so the wifey could bring in the minivan... Unfortunately looks like with all the kids stuff I get to live dangerously... Lol... That's what insurance is for right?

Looks better than mine. My son has 1st generation eclipse apart in both bays. He better have it to 1 Bay before it snows, as Mustang going in one bay for winter

Goodness.... Fixing that good ol DSM crank walk?

God help me if my son gets into working on cars... I cringe thinking about my wife actually finding out how much money I have spent on tools and car parts...add my son to the mix and she might throw us both out!

You are a brave man sir!

Got my first speeding ticket in my SHO today
Some old civic was trying to pass me, so I hit the gas, then I see a sheriff parked on the side... Of course he comes flying after me, 69 in a 45, good thing I let off from 90  Still got a 129$ ticket, but that's because he put me 6 over the limit, instead of getting a 279$ ticket!

I'm guessing that your are enjoying your SHO again? The shaking still just a memory? Sorry about the ticket though... $129 ain't bad. The points suck though...

I try to enjoy it, the shaking is still there.. I've been so busy lately with work and everything else, I just haven't had the time to take it in and leave it there for days.
The good thing about the points, is here in Florida, you can take a 4 hour traffic course and they go away :)

My first ticket was at 1200 miles 29 over having some fun driving home 400 miles lucky it was a 65mph zone. $300☹️ testing out the ****** 360max I like how the app records what you have seen in the route so I can shut some stuff off if there are no cops using that band and get a little better performance.

Thanks guys, pretty soon I can start adding all the fun stuff you've been SHOing me. I was starting to approach the "All work and no play makes Mark a dull boy" moment. This summer was quite the ride at work.
