I see alot of people mentioning they have the factory performance package. But cant find any road tests that verify a gain in specs or track times. What does it include besides the larger radiator and can most of the parts be swapped onto a non pp car?

The PP pkg comes with a variety of "extras" not common to the Non-PP equipped cars.

It also depends on the model years, as far as what you get.

All PP Equipped cars come with the 3.16 axle. Non-PP come with the 2.77.

There have been many debates on the differing axle ratios and what's perceived as being "faster".

It has been shown, time and time again, that when a tune is applied, the Non-PP's are consistently faster.

Moving along, again depending on model year, the PP equipped cars come with better brakes, and a slew of auxiliary coolers, that certainly help make the PP Equipped cars able to handle true track (& street) duties efficiently and worry free.

With the exception of the water cooled PTU, all other auxiliary coolers from a PP Equipped car can easily be retro fitted onto a Non-PP car.

I'm sure others will chime in after me, but that is the jist of it, in a nutshell.

For some reason the non pp do seem to be faster after tuned.

BPD is non pp and holds overall record, Unleashed non meth fastest is non pp, and I'm non meth Livernois non pp and just went 12.05.

Only 1 guy with PP is in the lower numbers, he's BCB tuned and running a 12.28 non meth 13+ SHO.

Any idea on tire sizes on the vehicles? If it's a higher gear ratio thing, I'd think you could offset it on the PP car with a taller tire set (time to do some math)

Tire math on a 3.16 gear ratio car looks like you'd need to step up from a p245/45r20 (28.7" diameter ) tire to something close to a 32.3" diameter to get 2.80 gear ratio equivalent.(still a bit steeper than the 2.77 non PP) . That's a big ass step.
