"based on last years showing" bah, you can't sell what you don't promote...again.
Go ahead, try to get a head count to set things up, I felt your pain Chad.
Blackhawk was like $7,000, = 35 cars at $200.
My thoughts on upcoming gatherings.
I think using a whole week long vacation is a lot to ask of newer members, it's a lot to ask of me right now.
I think there's 10 people I can name from last year who have to submit vacation time by Jan 1.
I think anyone joining us and sharing track day mid week is impossible.
I think interest in track has declined due to age of original car and new car is just not tracked often. **** over half the cars were not SHO's last year. I don't think we care what car's are on track anyway, (Canadian rentals welcome) it's the friends and people.
1. Is it time to start the party on Thursday night-ish for locals into Friday, Car show Saturday morning, drags afternoon into night, road course with other clubs on Sunday, party Sunday night, drive home Monday?
2. Is it time to speak with our own Forum member Mark Pfeffer who runs MVPtracktime (who a few of us have run with and is an all around cool guy) to try to help us align the stars? (weekend)
3. Is it time to speak with Jason Kennedy too and team up for Mid Ohio or others? (weekend)
4. Is it time to team up with other ford clubs, like others heading to Carlisle? (screw them were better lol) Or do Carlisle and find the closest track for that Sunday?
5. Is it time to meet at the same place every year like Subapalooza or what ever it is in St. Louis? (boring, stand around and talk about your pink wheels)
6. Is it time to go every other year? (meh, we're not that old)
7. Is it time to search the Forum for anyone who ever said they would attend but never has, hunt them down like the dog they are, and have it at their house?
I vote using #1 and #2 and #3 in the future or for a test in 2017, but as everything is now, that's up to Kirk.
