I've been on the forums a bit in anticipation of me finding the right SHO.

When I went to see the her, I was a little taken back because I'm not rich, but I wanted her no matter what I had to do. "Shoffie" was a little beat up, previous boyfriend must've been a car beater. She was so beat up, as some of you know, she didn't make it home the first day because a radiator hose blew. The dealer took her back and fixed her up. This was Friday. I was a wreck all weekend. I got her back on Tuesday this week... and our relationship began. I drove her home and was overjoyed at her performance. I noticed the mufflers were not even, so I decided to go up to the ACTUAL Ford Dealership to see if I can make a new friend with one of the service guys today, and my tire pressure light wouldn't turn off. So, I met my new homie, Jerald, who put my ******* a lift and showed me exactly why the mufflers were not even and said to find a little shop who would straighten it out for me because they-him-dealership would charge an arm and a leg and want to replace the whole exhaust, can't afford that. Jerald also told me to come through and get the full service tune-up (She's Well Under 90K Though), but with the tune-up/revamp of the engine I would be ready to go. Me and Jerald made and appointment for the fix-up. (Sidenote: On The Carfax It Says "Body Serviced." What does that mean?)

I also had the "reading hard drive" media reading, so I couldn't put a cd in, switch to my phone, or listen to my music via usb or my phone... Jerald told me that he would hook it up when I bring the car by for the tune-up.

Me and my 14-year old son did the plast-dip last night. He was a huge instigator to get the SHO. I was gonna get a 2009-2012 Hyundai 4.6, but my boy and these forums convinced me to go the SHO route. I also didn't like the look of the hyundai over the SHO when it was all said and done. I like American. Anyways, I will post a picture or two here when she gets a good day and cleaning. The weather out here has been awful. Shoffie has some little scratches and a few of those little indentions that you REALLY can't see unless you stand at a certain angle on my side of the car, but she is still nice looking, tight, firm, fast, black, and mine.

Excuse the rant, but I've been driving a 2002 minivan and 2002 Trailblazer for like 2 years.. and before that it was a 2007 HHR for 2 years. (2006 Impala SS before that). I plan on taking care of Shoffie and making her a nice looking force to be reckoned with vs Charger R/T's, IS 350's, Genesis R-Spec's, Q50S', etc (Will Livernois Her When The Time Is Right).

I'm just happy to have a nice car to take care of for once.

One more... coming home in the snow. My "smart" 14-year-old took the picture.

I'm digging the night rider you got there sir :thumb: I plasti dip myself and that stuff comes out pretty good. I cut out my ford emblem from the front grill So the haters know who made the beast maybe you should black out the fog lights on the bottom also. Been meaning to do mine but hadn't had a chance to.

Thanks Joe! I got plans for SHOFFIE. I plan on getting the lights all tinted, but I like the stock white fog lights.

The plasti-dip didn't stick the way I wanted it to because of how cold it was when I sprayed, but to be honest, the rims came out with this black and silver mix that looks so dope, I don't know if I want it actually all black. I'm gonna plasti the chrome around the windows next weekend, the back lights, and the back chrome across the trunk. I also plan on peeling away the plasti on Ford sign in the front like you did, my wife says she doesn't like it all black. Tint coming when it warms up some.

Post of pic of your red head. I can barely see with your profile pic.

Hate to disappoint you and everyone for that matter, and trust me I am just as upset. They are not true Fog Lights....They are "Supplemental Parking Lamps.....No effective Forward Beam at all.. I do like the chrome contrast though. With that said there is a kit available from daybrightleds.com that while stillnot fog lights converts the SPL to LED and also adds in amber turn signals. Better beam than the OEM but still not true forward visibility Fog lights in the traditional sense.

Looks Good Charlie!
Does not look beat up at all...
Leaving the lug nuts chrome is a nice touch!!!

So, I didn't care it was cold today... I went out and washed the car with some turtle wax cleaner and then waxed the whole car with my son. The car looks brand new. I was scared the paint had been in a dirt yard or beat up too much, but after the wash...my son pointed out how much better it looked, then after the wax... I was amazed.

Last night me and the wife decided to go for a drive, a Genesis Coupe pulled up with about 12 pipes sticking out his exhaust. He pulled in front of me, slowed down, and let the traffic move on. I got over to the left lane and pulled beside him... he decided to punch it. I wanted to mash too, but I'm scared of really pushing her until I get the service done at the dealer.

I'm also ordering this sticker...

Ricer

That' I'm gonna put on after the tune up too. Before summer I'm ordering the livernois tune.

I really like the grill and how you left the Ford logo. It seems like everyone paints it black and to me it looks odd having a big giant round black logo. I've been contemplating painting the chrome on my grill black and not painting the silver horizontal bars or Ford logo.

Let me start off this post by saying... Never have I been so happy to go to the store for the wife or get some fast food for her at night.... NEVER.

Last night, I was coming back from a quick run for the wife... and in back of me... I seen "racer lights." About 3 Infinitis pulled up and they were talking to each other out the window. The light turned green and we all went to the next light and I was going slow to catch the light and see if one of these guys wanted to go real quick. I think he noticed and I thought he flashed his headlights once before getting to the light. Our stops were staggered though and his line was ahead of mine. I still wasn't sure if he wanted to give a quick run, so when the light turned green I eased onto the gas... he eased on to the gas... I looked at him (he was heavily tinted, I have none) and we both hit it (maybe a 10-20 roll). He had an exhaust because I could hear it when he rolled up and as we were running. We only went to about 60-70 and I eased off because a corner (and I'm not a kid trying to **** myself or anyone else) and had this "RUSH." I slightly raced my 2006 impala ss back in cali... against one of those little beamers, but this has more power and launches waaaay better. I came from behind and pulled on him a little and then he started to pull back. I didn't press the pedal to the metal because my car hasn't been tuned up yet. BUT, when I do... Watch out rice rockets!

Sweet ride there Joe,
What year? PP? Mucho dark tint!!!!:thumb:
Go back and delete the two fails on your photo attempt....
It's a 2010 non PP stock to the bone. I will add a little some some under hood :naughty1: sometime soon.

I seen that before on Instagram where they leave of the horizontal bars chrome and I can say it looks pretty nice. When I decide to peal it off I think I'll try to rock the black with chrome bars. It did look funny with the black blob in the middle so I carefully cut that portion out.

Sounds like you had some fun there Mr Charlie :burnout:

My plan is to paint the chrome black and leave the silver bars (same color as my car) alone. If you look at your grill there are 5 "bars" shown. 3 of them are smooth and chrome. 2 of them have a "square texture" and on mine those are the same color as the body (not sure if it's this way for all the grills or not). I'll paint the 3 chrome ones black and leave the 2 silver ones as they are. Hopefully it looks good like yours.

So, after a trip to florida and tune up, new brakes, and new tires... I'm in love. My crossed out "Ricer" sticker is on the way. The tune is gonna have to wait about a year... unless I go with the cheaper Unleashed.

I drove the car for 11 hours over the weekend. 5 1/2 hours to Jacksonville and back to Atlanta and I've never had a car this nice, comfy, fast, and capable. It's an enjoyment.

Awesome! That's what the SHO experience is supposed to be :) But once you put on a tune, you'll be wondering why you waited. More power + better shifting, and you might even get a little better mileage ...
