I did do the waxing right after claying.

And OMG, I have never seen that before...Larry is OCD like me!! I watched the whole thing. :)

HAHA! I have spent a lot of time learning from Larry's vidoes on how to properly detail a car. He makes a lot of sense and explains his reasoning behind what he is doing. It is great for all of those OCD people like us:hi5:

People who've seen my SHO in person, are pretty well versed in my level(s) of OCD.

We're all in good company. No worries there.

Too wet and windy here today for fixing my air dam, I will work on it when I have the next sunny day... according to the weather - this will be Thursday! :( I need my sunshine...although I do look quite pale :p

Oh, another thing I thought of and was going to ask. Are the Michelin MXM4 tires factory? They seem to be fairly decent all weather tires... what does everyone think of them?

Okay, now I feel self conscious after seeing the picture bpd has with the 3 models... :p:D Teasin'....actually that would be a great job...how do I sign up for that!? Be around super cars, race teams, and all I have to do is put on a nice outfit?! Yes please!

I think I will just make this my official thread where I post my updates...when I do stuff to my car. So please keep following me, I'm sure I will have tons of questions as I start with mods!

The Michelins are decent A/S tires, but the brand itself has not had many fans among the Gen 4 crowd primarily due to quality problems (tire cracking for example). Anyway, if it's time for replacement, look to Continental DWS/06, Pirelli Cinturato P7, and General GMAX (my personal favs in that order of laying down rubber) as very suitable replacements.

Angela~ The MXM4s on mine are the stock factory tire. They're pretty good in the heat and in the rain. They should be really good for you down south all year.

Up here, though, I think they're going to be a little hard, so I'm running the Conti Extreme DWS 255/55/ZR18 109W on 18" steel wheels for the winter, partly because they're softer and have better siping for the snow and partly to save the alloys from the salt.

Now about those pics . . . . . . . . You're lovely!! But then, I have a real soft spot for gorgeous redheads! :thumb:

Thanks. I edited the photo and tried to point out the issue a little better. See if this helps.

I had this issue with my '15 as I hit a buzzard 23.5 hours after picking her up. I used an old paint roller and removed the roller assy, so that I had the handle and a metal rod. I bent the metal rod so that it would feed through the lower grill and apply pressure to the back of the popped in section. While applying moderate pressure to the back, I used the side of my fist to "thump" the surrounding bumper cover and the insert popped right back onto place.

That is a good idea too. Get behind it using the middle section of the lower grille. I thought about coming from underneath, but it's all sealed up underneath the front end, guessing for gas mileage purposes?

DOH!! It just dawned on me . . . . . Angela is your car's name! Or maybe not?

Anyway, to answer your question . . . . Yes, partly for mileage, but mostly for tighter control of cooling aerodynamics.

I'm Angela.

Okay that makes sense. I haven't seen many cars that are all closed or blocked in like that. Normally you can reach right up there (or at least on the few cars I've owned).

Oh, so I was right the first time. I hereby retract my "DOH!!" :)

Hiya, Angela! Nice to meet you! Lovely name. It fits you.
I'm Jed, 60 year old kid, hot-rodder and all-around good guy.

And don't worry, I'm not flirting. It's likely that I have socks older than you! :laughcry:

Not sure if I should just keep adding to this thread...which is kind of what I planned on doing. Anyways, the keyless entry (punch pad) that is on the door. So I found out my code, but for some reason...the sensor on some of the numbers does not work. Some numbers do and some don't. Anyone ever experienced anything like this? Not sure if it's really worth fixing or not...or what the issue even is. But given my already stated OCD :D I kind of want it fixed!

I haven't even tried to figure out the door sensor. I use the key fob for the alarm, or I just lock/unlock with the sensor pads on the handle itself.

Those touch pad strips are notorious for going bad. When we get lease returns, we have to make that work to certify the car for the extended Lincoln warranty, and about 1/3 of them are bad. If you still have warranty, get it fixed. Otherwise, expect to pay around $300 because the part is stupid expensive...

Nooooooo, park in the boonies. I always park in the back and walk. I don't trust anyone with their car doors or shopping carts. Restaurants are tricky when they have small parking lots. Then it's all a gamble! I kid you all not, I was at Chick-fil-a, actually in the drive thru a few years ago in my previous 2012 Taurus (SEL) and a guy in a Mustang bumped me. He said he just learned how to drive a stick... not sure if that was true or he just wanted my name & number o_O Like you just hit me, and you think I will give you my personal info!? No way jose, but I did get his insurance info... never called. He was going like 1 mph... so there was no damage.
I let my son park next to me he's seven lol seriously I do the same thing especially at work with all these chuckleheads I work with I work fot Chrysler but have had Ford cars since I have been old enough to drive love my 2015 PP 597f3deb4b8435a6733a8be9e6f9ced1
