Alternate Size Tires

I didn't see any posts on this but is anyone running alternate sized tires? I'd like to run something a little wider than the factory 245/45/20 to give it a little better stance. Anyone doing this already? If so, what size tire are you using?

You can run 255/45/20 without it affecting your speedo that much. I will be running that size on my race tires i get for the car.

That's what size my wife's MKT EcoBoost came with, but I haven't tried running them on my SHO yet to see if they rub or do anything strange. If the OP is looking for something that should have the correct offset and handle that tire size fine, stock MKT wheels may be an option.

I would guess you could run wider tires than 255 on your SHO. Limitation would be 8" stock rims. I was running 285-40-18" Nitto DR's on the front of my Flex. They were on 18 x 9" TSW Interlagos with a 33 offset... I am now using those same wheels with my Michelin Pilot Supersports (235-50-18) - and yes they are smaller than stock. The smaller diameter tires increased my relative axle ratio to 3.40, and didn't affect my mileage as the weight is down substantially.

However, since I really like the design of those MKT wheels, I would move them to your SHO, like yesterday....
