In respose to boogyman: First off let me be clear, all strategies created by me are my legal property and a cost is associated with it to license it to your machine. If I find some hacked something or reversed engineered it I will seek legal reparations. If I seem curt that is because months/years of work isn't handed out for free and I won't take it lightly if someone is handing my software out. Now that that is out of the way let's move on.

Just wanted to say Adam is a nice guy to deal with and his strategy is awesome . It obviously took a ton of work to put together and is well worth it.

Boogy nothing is free , stop trying to pirate other peoples work.

i lost my first laptop due to my 1 yr old as well. Adam made sure i was taken care of, and Clint (BE) gave me a discounted price. Im in no way a good tuner, but I did get the car running safe and plan to have adam tune it to its potential in the future. Just wish I were more savvy to this type of work.

please dont take offense i agree that getting paid for your work is a fair and legitimate thing to ask for. i am not trying to pirate anything if i have to pay for it then i will im not cheep by any means of the word budget minded yes cheap no ive been drag racing for years and done very well going the cheap route gets u nowhere

can someone please elaborate on the additional things that can be done with his stuff

after speaking with adam directly things have been cleared up and all is well as a matter of fact for all you haters out there my finding helped adam to figure out some sources that were using his stuff and handing it out for free. so now he can clear up some loose ends and get his dues from all his hard work

Been a while since I played with BE. I had to re-register, and I think this may be my issue.

I now have BE registered and working, but how do I get the SHO strategy opened?

I have an email from Adam (popsracing) with the XJ2.cry file, but it will not allow me to open it. Again, I think this is because I re-registered my BE (same info, same computer).

I feel like it is staring me in the face, but I can not figure it out.

FWIW, I open BE, click on the 'Open' tab, and then click on 'Strategy', but when I click on the XJ2.cry file that I uploaded to BE, it does not work, I get this message 'make sure the BE and the strategy file are both registered. The strategy file may also be locked to a different BE'

Any words of wisdom?

I registered it once, I just do not recall what I had to do for that process.

I spoke with Adam earlier today, but after a while he had to leave, and I told him I would try and find the information I needed to get up and running. I found the correct BE info, and got it going again, but just can't recall what else I had to do with the XJ2 file to make it work. I will try calling him again Monday.

If you don't have the code, Adam is the only one that can fix you up. When you're set up again, back up both .lic files and you won't have to go through this again.

I'd like to start out by thanking the sho community for their support. Unfortunately a few dishonest people have forced our hands with the rekeying policy. I always tell folks to backup their lic files, typically even set up a tuning critical folder with subfolders backing up all pertainant b.e./tune data and recommend burning to cd or putting on mem stick.

We have gone to a new hardware dongle version of the software to eliminate licensing issues and simply keeps everything honest.

I cant recall the details of our conversation Adam. Now that I have BE 2010+ working, so I need the dongle with the X2J on it? Or is there a way to use the original X2J file that you sent me?

I'd like to know more about the hardware dongle as I dread the next time something happens to my laptop.

I have been getting a few inquiries about needing both MTX and ATX strategies. For a short time only for members of this forum I'm going to go half price on the second strategy as a package deal to answer the request that own both MTX and ATX Gen 1/2 SHOs....
Regards,
Adam

Got my original codes from Clint and Adam, and have EVERYTHING BACKED UP now!! Hopefully, this laptop will last more than a few months before it takes a dump, but at least I have the rescue CD ready to go.

Thanks a ton Adam, I forgot how much I did not like CalEdit until I started playing with BE again!

Let the tuning begin!

The information that has become available is amazing, and can launch tuning capabilities far ahead of anything that we have had in the past.

Adam Marrer at Pops Racing has written the X2J Binary file, as well as the D4U1. In the past few days this guy has spent about 4 hours with me explaining/showing me how this works. This is absolutely amazing to me and this community. If you have a twEECer or SCT, he has this stuff figured out! I recently bought the BIN / BIN editor / Tune from Adam, and I know with the software that is out now, we can finally start giving these cars the power/driveability we thought we could not get.

For any of you guys thinking of tuning with twEECer, this is a MUST!!!!

he definitely knows his shit!!! :)
