Is anyone going to be out and about any of these next 2 weeks cruising? My car will be all back together by this Wed or so. So I think it would be fun to get a few together and represent. My new number is 586-741-1518. Text or call.

I'll most likely be around on the weekends. I will def be around for the cruise itself, but I usually just park and walk most of it. I might be out there later tonight in my truck. I'm hoping to have my SHO fixed before the cruise.

With the work timing, I'll be home next weekend (8/13 - 8/14), but since I'll have to be back in KY later that week, I was considering getting the Red Car out early in the week for a drive down there.

All I have to do is swap off the original tires/wheels for the refinished wheels/newer tires for the drive. Those 22-year-old tires worry me!

Plus my buddy Marty lives in RO right off 13 & Woodward.

Few people from my work are going, we'll be there the 19th/20th/21st

Still have a few things I want to get done to the SHO. Fuel gauge is stuck (put in a new tank/pump) and i want to finish applying POR-15 to the underbody. Would be nice to get the sound system put in too. A 3 hour drive with no music isnt very fun :|

Sweet! Like I mentioned, I will def be around the whole weekend, but gonna be moving constantly to try and cover as much as possible although it is never possible to do all of it in one day.

Gonna check out the AIV Sable while you're down here? I've been keeping an eye on it since it's been here. It's been moved once since last year's convention to clean the parking lot LOL . It's still got it's winter shoes on too.

Nice, winter tires ftw lol

The AIV still looking minty?

What's the best plan for woodward? I heard the best bet is to park somewhere and just watch cars go by because it's one **** of a traffic jam!

I saw you roll by a few times. I was parked just south of Auto Europe and Old Woodward on the NB side. I would've pulled ya if I saw you broke down! Know what broke yet?

Yea, still minty as always LOL.

What we usually do is park somewhere around 11 mile or 15 mile and walk all of the way down to the other, then walk back on the opposite side since there are tons of cars and displays to see just parked on the sides. That way you also get to see the cars going by, plus the OEMs have big displays to check out too. The Ford display is always down at 9 mile and Woodward in Ferndale though, so you have to drive there, check it out, then drive north to the other part of the cruise (closer to 11mile). I think we're gonna do the Ford display Friday afternoon so we can concentrate on the rest of the cruise Saturday. I also heard there are around 3000 Mustangs registered for Mustang Ally in the Ford display this year :oogle:. There's so much, you could never see it all in one day.

So it would be good idea to wear good walking shoes/sneakers and a backpack full of waters or a camel back. Plus, you can't forget a camera!

If you're not up for that much walking, you can try and find a spot to plot a folding chair down and watch, but you miss a lot of it IMO, plus there's literally no room and all the curbside space is reserved and rented out by the local businesses in advanced.

It appears to be the front motor mount. The front of the engine jumps up a good 8 inches. It's nuts. Pushed the hood far up. Right now its rachet strapped down so i could get it home to work in the garage. Good thing I have a 2nd car. I think what broke it is a good 20 foot burnout earlier that night.

I'm headed out there tomorrow (Monday) night, if the weather is good. Putting the "driving" tires on the red car with the lace wheels. Only goes out if the rain stays away (forecast changed to a 30% chance starting in the afternoon). Looks like I have to leave town Tuesday or Wednesday, so i'll miss the late-week festivities. :frown:

The only SHO's I saw were yours and another moonlight blue one all riced out with like 25 series rubber on 17" chrome wheels :vomit:
